something that I’ve always suspected is that Hornsent doesn’t heal in fights, because I’ve never seen him do it, and all of the different hornsent helms (Divine Beast Head/Helmet, Divine Bird Helm, Horned Warrior Helm, Curseblade Mask) specifically apply a debuff to the flasks of sacred tears since they’re a blessing of the Erdtree and the Erdtree is the enemy of their people:
“Divine invocation bolsters the strength of the wearer, but causes the blessing of the Erdtree to become nauseating, reducing the restorative effect of drinking from a flask of sacred tears.”
so I was just watching a speedrun stream, and they mentioned that yes, Hornsent does not heal! even though the Caterpillar Mask doesn’t have the same debuff that the other helms do, it makes perfect sense that Hornsent wouldn’t have access to the flasks of sacred tears since his people are specifically excluded from the Erdtree’s blessing (even if he did have access to the flasks, I’m sure he’d refuse to use them both because he despises the Erdtree and because it would be physically nauseating to him!) so major props for lore-accurate game mechanics!
