Use to be a OUAT Rumbelle appreciation blog, but the show ended and I want to gear it to my other interests. So I’ll basically be posting whatever suits my fancy from here on out.I occasionally write fanfiction, so if you have a request, I’d be happy to hear it!

WANDAVISION FINALE SPOILERS WITHOUT CONTEXT :'(

BONUS :'(

when british people are alone they’re like fuck i can finally drop this ridiculous accent

I once again feel attacked
Let me preface this by saying I am a massive Scarlet Witch fan to the point I have written about her at an academic level for university so there’s bound to be bias.
WandaVision’s finale almost makes Scarlet Witch feel like the only hero in the MCU to have earned stuff like her code name and powers. An origin story spanning 6 years, 4 movies and her own television show. Everyone else has for the most part been added fully formed as a hero by the end of their first movie. Wanda however debuted with no code name, powers badly explained and confusing and not even a proper costume. It felt weird. Everyone thought that. But we never expected how intended or how well writers would adapt to get us to point we are now. So much lore was added to the MCU for Wanda, it reminds me of the 2015 Scarlet Witch solo series by James Robinson. Everything had meaning by the end of WandaVision. Wanda’s code name, costume and powers- all the things we associate with superheroes- were intentionally placed through worldbuilding. Yes it took 6 years but this feel so much more gratifying than her at the end of Age of Ultron going “Call me the Scarlet Witch... for reasons.” This feels so good, to hear her name spoke and to see her tiara manifest from magic. 22 year old me cried watching this I can’t imagine how 10 year old me would’ve reacted. I wish a few things were different of course but I for one am so happy and cannot wait for Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness.
