“Hello I’m calling from the Hospital about Ryuji Sakamoto, is this Y/n Sakamoto?” I blinked for a second before nodding my head, despite the person over the phone unable to see. “Yes I am, did something happen?” I asked, beginning to pack up my stuff.
”Yes, well you see your brother broke his leg at school today and we couldn’t get in contact with your mother.”
I ran out of the room immediately, not bothering to say goodbye to my friends. I ran to the hospital.
He was at the hospital? Was he not at practice today? Or did it happen during practice?
I hurriled walked over to the front desk and said my brother’s name, they kindly point the way where he was currently being treated and I made my way over.
In front of the door, I didn’t expect to see his coach sitting there waiting for him. When I approched him I bowed to show my respect. “Hello, I’m Ryuji’s older sister.” He gave me a small bow back.
I looked in the room where Ryuji was suppose to be. “Do you know what happened him?” I asked. If I had looked back at him, I would’ve seen the look in his eyes as they roamed up and down my body.
”Sakamoto Kun attacked me today during practice.” I wipped my head back at the man at that.
Ryuji did what?
I rasied an eyebrow “How.. what does that have to do with him breaking his leg?” I asked him, the man chuckled and crossed his arms. “He almost hurt me, I was acting in self defense.” I started at him in disbelif.
I learned later that day that my brother could no longer run the same way anymore. His track career was over before it could begin.
And it was all that damn coach’s fault.
-
I woke up in a groggily mood. Looking at my alarm clock and seeing it was almost 10. Slowly I got up from my bed and went to the bathroom, I could still hear Ryuji snoring from his room.
Thankfully with the money I’ve earned from working during collage, and taking up job offers at small places, I was able to save up for a two room apartment (it wasn’t easy and took a while) but it was enough to help out our mom just a bit.
At first I was wondering if it really was the best idea to move the both of us out but as I thought about it some more, I was able to make her not worry about needing to be home right away to feed her son.
I left the bathroom and went straight to the kitchen. Getting ready to prepare breakfast for the two of us.
There was no school today due to what happened yesterday to prepare the school for what to do. Though I doubt the school would do anything to begin with.
When I was halfway prepared with our breakfast, I saw Ryuji walk over to the kitchen. His hair was a mess and he could barely open his eyes. I chucked and watched as he walked over to watch me cook.
“Good morning to you, did you sleep well?” I asked him. He groaned and rubbed his eyes “I slept fine, how about you?”
We made small talk as I finished up our breakfast, I let him plate up his food as I wash up the remaining dishes before sitting down with my own plate.
”So,” I started as I sat down. “about yesterday..” Looking at him as he paused in eating.
”How.. are you okay? I mean what happened yesterday was so sudden, I just..” I sighed. “I want to know how you feel. I mean he was.. I just-“
”Sis I’m alright.”
I looked up at him as he said that, a frown on my face as I waited for him to say anything else. “I mean he’s getting what he deserves now. Why wouldn’t I be happy about that.” Sighing, I nodded, “I just, I feel like I haven’t done much as an adult, mostly as your sister, to protect you earlier.”
Ryuji tilted his head, confused. “I clearly knew what was going on, but I couldn’t do anything about it until now.” I frowned.
”I just want to apologize, I clearly didn’t do much like I promised when I first applied to work at the school.”
I was about to go on and ramble before I heard Ryuji start laughing.
“What are you talking about? You’ve done more than what any other teacher whose been working there for so long has done. I’d even say you’ve done more than what the older teachers have tried.” He finished.
I frowned, “Ryuji I-“
He shook his head though, “listen to me, I’ve seen you interact with my classmates and I can tell they enjoy your presence. Even though you started like what, a year ago? I can tell they like you. You’re trying your best.”
”And you just got the job sis, I don’t expect you to change the school in just a year.
I looked at him for a second, wondering for a second if I was truly looking at my brother. “Geez, look at you using smart words.” I joked with him.
Ryuji rolled his eyes and ate a spoonful of his breakfast.
I watched him eat, wondering where that little boy I grew up watching everyday after school went.
I could still vividly see his black hair on him as he sat in front of me.

CASUAL DOMINANCE W/ MINGYU — sfw

buckling your seatbelt
"I can do it myself you know?" Looking at your boyfriend, he was lent over your seat, his hand on the seat buckle as he tried buckling you in.
"I know." He said, glancing up at you with a gentle smile on his face before returning to the task at hand. "But you don't have to."
You sighed, rolling your eyes however you were far from being annoyed. If anything, in some strange way — to be loved is to be considered and that is exactly what he was doing.
"I'm not a baby Mingyu." Your words held a bit of amusement to them, your boyfriend finally making eye contact with you after he safely secured your seatbelt.
"Well not exactly no." He shook his head, looking off for a bit as his thoughts wandered. "But you're my baby." He looked back at you, nothing but admiration and love in his eyes. It had you almost feeling as if you were falling in love all over again.
"I love you." You muttered out, planting a kiss to his lips.
"I love you too." He replied back before fastening his own seatbelt and reversing out of the driveway.
feeding you whenever you’re doing something
"Open."
Your lips parted at his words, eyes not moving from your laptop once as he shoveled a spoonful of food into your mouth. After much argument about how you needed to get your paper done and didn't have time to eat — Mingyu planted himself right next to you on the couch, deciding he would take it upon himself if you "didn't have the time."
As soon as you began to chew, your stomach betrayed you as it let out a loud grumble.
"I thought you said you weren't hungry." Mingyu asked, his eyes narrowing in at the side of your face.
You could feel him glaring at you, but you still refused to take your eyes off the keyboard. You meekly shrugged, not wanting to get scolded. "I lied."
Your boyfriend sighed, shaking his head before scooping up another bite of food and holding it to your mouth as he spoke the same words yet again. "Open."
tying your shoes for you
"What are you doing?" You looked back at your boyfriend as you took notice of how he stopped in his tracks.
"C'mere." He said, grabbing at your waist to guide you to a nearby wall.
You two were taking a late afternoon stroll through downtown, the both of you deciding it would be nice to spend some quality time together and explore the new city his group was touring in. Everything was going smoothly as you two walked quietly next to each other, until he managed to take notice of something that you apparently hadn't yet.
Mingyu leant against the wall, bending his knee out and tapping at it. "Give me your foot."
"What?" You asked, still oblivious.
"Your shoe Y/n. It's untied."
Looking down at your feet, you finally noticed that the laces of your sneakers had managed to come undone. "Oh." You said before using his shoulder as something for balance as you placed your foot on his extended leg.
Mingyu began to tie the two strings together for you as you watched him with amusement. You let out a snort as you replayed the scene of his seriousness back in your head.
"What?" He asked, taking his eyes off the bow he was tying to look at you in question.
"Nothing." You responded, but gave in quickly as the thought became too amusing for you to keep to yourself. "I just thought it was funny how you're the clumsy one, but you seemed to be concerned about me when it comes to something as simple as my shoe laces coming undone."
Mingyu smiled as he finally finished off tying the laces, gently placing your leg back on the ground. "I will never not be concerned about you." He said, grabbing at your waist and pulling you in to kiss the side of your head. "Plus, you're always looking out for me, might as well return the favor right?"
You smiled up at him with eyes full of love to which he just couldn't resist the urge to kiss your lips as soon as it was in his line of vision.
"Right."
making you use your words
You were exhausted. It had overall been a terrible day from start to finish and as you got home and were finally able to get out of your uncomfortable work clothes, the weight off the world came crashing down on you.
The smell of the delicious dinner your boyfriend was cooking lingered in the air as you trudged your way down the hall and into the kitchen. You stood behind him, watching as he chopped away at the vegetables and occasionally stopped to stir the stew on the stove. When he turned around to grab something, you nearly gave him a heart attack as his hand flew to his chest due to shock.
"Y/n, what the hell."
You stared up at his tall figure from under the blanket you threw over your body as an attempt of comfort. "Hi." You said, your voice small.
Mingyu was rather quick to take attention to this, setting the spoon down on the counter and raising an eyebrow at you. "What's the matter baby?"
You shrugged, looking down and avoiding eye contact with him.
"Do you need something?" He asked again, lowering his head as he attempted to get your eyes back on him.
Once again, you shrugged. Although you did in fact need something after the terrible day you just had, you've always had a problem with voicing what you wanted and Mingyu knew this better than anyone — in fact, he knew exactly what you needed. He just wanted to hear you say it.
"You gotta use your words baby. I can't read your mind." His voice was soft as he gently tried to coax a verbal answer out of you.
Taking in a deep breath, you finally lifted your head to peer up at him. "A hug." You said so softly, he almost didn't hear you — but he knew.
His arms were quick to wrap around you as soon as the words left your mouth and you buried your head in his chest as you hid away from the rest of the world in them.
looking out for you when you’re drunk
"Y/n get down."
You looked at your boyfriend from your spot on the bar counter where you danced, mentally cursing at him for being able to handle his alcohol so well unlike you. You ignored his extended arm to assist you, instead singing along to the lyrics of the song that played as the rush of liquid courage got to your head.
"You're going to get hurt." He tried again, this time much more stern and insistent. "I'm not going to tell you again. Get down."
"No." You said stubbornly, a pout forming on your face as you crossed your arms.
Mingyu sighed, looking you dead in the eye for a few seconds before moving too fast for your drunken brain to process. In record time, you were swept off the bar counter and back on the floor. You attempted to swat him away after you were placed safely on the ground, however it was no use as his hand was quick to grab your wrist.
"Y/n." He sent you a warning glare.
You grumbled, muttering a pathetic apology before a smile spread across your face at the change of song and you forgot all about what was happening. "This is my jam!" You yelled out, running to the dance floor as Mingyu was too late to grab ahold of you before you could wander off.
You were going to be the death of him.

FUCK A BREAKUP! YOU EVER WANTED TO REREAD A FIC, AND THE AUTHOR DEACTIVATED THEIR ACCOUNT.
A short poem for my love, Kento Nanami
Nanami, namami, oh dear nanami.
Why is thou not in my sheets?
Why is thy meat, not in me.
Just one slurp, I beg of thee.
Just one nut, but in me.
Being a girl is: wanting to go to bed early but deciding to just get on tumblr/wattpad/Ao3 for a little bit and then end up finding a fic series that you really like and read until well past your usual bedtime then keeping on because it’s already past your bedtime. Then being mad when you wake up in the morning because you overslept your timer.
