headcanons/rambling below cut

broke headcanon: henryk and gascoigne are secret gay lovers (weird, it's very likely that they're inlaws, normalise close platonic friendships between men, dont do my girl viola like that)

woke headcanon: henryk mentored gascoigne when he joined the healing church and taught him the skills of the hunt, making gascoigne the great hunter he was and leading to their close friendship as hunting partners (and potentially inlaws after gascoigne marries viola). meaning that when henryk discovers the corpse of his daughter and the beastly corpse of gascoigne at the tomb of oedeon, he not only goes mad from the realisation he has failed to protect his loved ones, but also his failure as a hunter and a mentor as he trusted gascoigne to protect his daughter using everything he'd taught him - and it still wasnt enough. this is why henryk is one of my favourite characters because he fought until he couldn't - even after realising the beast plague had grown greater than anything he could manage, after he became nothing but a lonely old man whose life's work was nullified - the fight that ends his life is still a fight.

Thinking about how I’m literally a better and stronger person as a result of playing all the Souls games(including Bloodborne and Elden Ring an Sekiro). They made me more patient, better at acting under pressure, and way more into swords.

Few other pieces of media have had such a positive effect on my life and personality.
