author’s note:  fuck. i’m posting on here for the first time and it’s kind of intimidating... ahahaha. this is a (short) extract from a book i’m writing on wattpad called ‘cactus’. uhhhh, i didn’t know if i should post the whole thing cause it’s kinda shit but here you gooooooooo. umm, i hope you like it ;-; (oh and the link to my wattpad is in my bio if you want to, you know, check it out)

It took two minutes and ten seconds — Isha timed him — for Harry to find her after that. He was bouncing on the balls of his feet as he went through the first few rooms, scanning each room for a familiar figure. When he finally found her, he pratically glided across the room towards her. His friends (Jeff, Sarah, Mitch, Adam and Claire) trailed behind him, rolling their eyes with wide smiles on their faces. The studio had been spent with a constant somber atmosphere, with Harry spilling his emotions of his past relationship. This giddy, childlike version of him was a stark contrast to that. They were happy for him.

Harry found himself standing on the left side of Isha, his hands stuffed in his pockets, looking at the painting she was gazing at. Simran had been stood on the other side but when Jeff had come over with four other people she didn't know, she took it as her cue to leave and introduce herself to everyone.

He finally decided to break the silence, taking his eyes off the painting to look down at her. "Hi."

"Hi," Isha replied softly, looking up at him with a smile on her face "Did you get anything done at the studio?"

"Nope," he told her, popping the 'p'.

Isha simply laughed and shook her head.

There was another pause, the two thinking about what to say next. Isha flexed her hands a few times, wondering whether she should go ahead with her next move. Another second or two passed before she thought the same thought the had gone through her head multiple times since she had met Harry. Fuck it.

She reached her arm over, hooking it through his and tugged him along. Not even looking at him as she did. "Let's go find you some inspo then, Styles."
