idk how many people know that I headcanon the master as being way better at maintaining a tardis than the doctor, but what's much funnier is that during scream of the shalka the doctor still doesn't know how to fly or properly use his tardis—which has just led me to add another headcanon that the master is so petty that he refuses to tell the doctor how to maintain her correctly
when you start losing your appetite and getting out of bed gets suspiciously too hard

my political beliefs? If you have an incurable lifelong condition that requires constant medication you should be allowed to get that medication no strings attached without a doctors order and also for free
when i was a kid i would get a sick thrill from learning someones middle name now i dont feel anything at all ever and im no good for nobody
"im gonna kill myself" [remembers that suicide jokes scare my loved ones] "and im taking you with me!"

I don’t care how contrived it is. I will always enjoy two characters who don’t like each other somehow getting trapped in the same place, and having to work together to escape, while at the same time growing closer and learning that maybe, the other person isn’t so bad after all.
once i beat the depression and the burnout and the anxiety and the loneliness and the exhaustion and the guilt and the awkwardness and the apathy and the low income and the chronic illness and the impatience and the vulnerability and the creative block and the capitalism and the cruelty THEN you'll see
This blatant "Yeah you never fucking know the answer when it's important" erasure
there are two types of doctor who outtake:
oh fuck, i've blown it
sylvester mccoy
casual fan? no sorry i only know how to invest my whole livelihood into something and spend every waking moment thinking about said thing
Therapy isnt enough; I need to be crawling around in the vents picking off the crew of a colony ship one by one until I finally get flushed out of the airlock by a third act last-girl. I think that would fix me.
the neurodivergent tidying moment when you've mapped out an ideal order of operations to get things done in the exact way that balances your exertion with your dopamine intake and then someone else barges in and informs you that item 7 on your list must be done immediately, in fact it is a crime that it hasn't already been done, actually you're doing it all wrong and can't be trusted to do anything right

Many such cases
liking an unpopular character sucks ofc but liking a popular character is its own special kind of hell like Yes there's a million fics and a billion drawings No i cant look at them

Not that anybody asked, but I think it's important to understand how shame and guilt actually work before you try to use it for good.
It's a necessary emotion. There are reasons we have it. It makes everything so. much. worse. when you use it wrong.
Shame and guilt are DE-motivators. They are meant to stop behavior, not promote it. You cannot, ever, in any meaningful way, guilt someone into doing good. You can only shame them into not doing bad.
Let's say you're a parent and your kid is having issues.
Swearing in class? Shame could work. You want them to stop it. Keep it in proportion*, and it might help. *(KEEP IT IN PROPORTION!!!)
Not doing their homework? NO! STOP! NO NOT DO THAT! EVER! EVER! EVER! You want them to start to do their homework. Shaming them will have to opposite effect! You have demotivated them! They will double down on NOT doing it. Not because they are being oppositional, but because that's what shame does!
You can't guilt people into building better habits, being more successful, or getting more involved. That requires encouragement. You need to motivate for that stuff!
If you want it in a simple phrase:
You can shame someone out of being a bad person, but you can't shame them into being a good person.
Running out of meds again. Time to meow and scratch at the NHS's door I guess
i swear all writers are mentally ill. y'all keep putting your "beloved" characters through the most traumatic experiences ever just to feel something.

The problem with being mentally ill is that if I stepped inside the TARDIS instead of saying “omg this is awesome” I’d immediately assume I’d had another psychotic break 🤪
no! touching grass will kill her she needs tv show that sucks to live
^^^^ Seriously people, one of the biggest problems with escaping this kind of situation is either being charged with bigamy, or simply not believed and told to "just leave then" as you're not really married in the eyes of the law. Real divorce would give rights, better claim over the children and access to some of the resources of the husband, while usually the escaping wives have to leave with literally nothing
they should legalize polyamory. everywhere. and im not kidding at all. if someone wants to marry multiple people they should be allowed to. for any reason.
Mice straight up go on missions and no body talks about it
you know the drill, op disabled reblogs etc etc etc
