You decided it was a treat yourself day, nothing bad had happened you just wanted to relax

Joe was out at some meetings and dinner for upcoming projects so you had the house to yourself

So you got yourself a bottle of wine, your favorite scented candles, and you were ready to go

Getting into the warm water immediately melted your strained muscles and it felt amazing

Of course you could never tell anyone why you were hurting but it was fine 😏

It felt so nice you knew you could almost fall asleep in there

That was until you heard the door open downstairs and joe loudly yelling “BABE? WHERE ARE YOU?” Up the stairs

“IM UPSTAIRS”

His footsteps were never quiet, and soon he was walking right through the door

“Oh gosh I’m sorry babe, do you want me to go back downstairs?” He knew you liked your me time

You thought about it for a minute, but there was no one in the world who could make you feel as relaxed as joe

So you raised an eyebrow at him, and he raised one right back. He thought he was being smooth for sure

“I was thinking you could join me. What did we get big tub for if we weren’t going to use it?”

You’d never seen joe undress so fast in your life

“Careful! Don’t splash water everywhere!” You wanted joe but you had an ambiance going 😂

He sat across from you, entangling his legs with yours

You both sank down in the water, just kind of relaxing together

You could feel joes foot rubbing circles on your thigh, just a way of letting you know that he was there

“Babe?”

“Yeah?”

“I don’t think there’s enough bubbles in this bath tub right now.” And you watched him smirk at you

He turned the water back on and watched the bubbles multiply, laughing as you tried to stop him

“Joe that’s too many bubbles turn the water off!”

“ALL THE BUBBLES!!!”

Once you finally got him to turn the water off, you could see his big smile across his face

“Just a little… more…” and he brought his hand up and put bubbles on your nose

“Joe!!”

“What? You look cute with bubbles on your nose. And I bet I do too.”

He put some on his and looked up at you smiling

“You’re lucky you’re cute, with or without bubbles.”

Instead of wiping the bubbles off you turned around and leaned against joe, almost melting into him almost

“You’re right. We did need more bubbles.”

Ambiance, bubbles.. none of it really mattered. All that mattered was you, and joe, together 💕
