With how we've not been in L corp branches for the two recent Cantos (V did have us visit but we didn't find the Golden Bough until we had The Whale Shenanigans™ so I'm not counting that), do we think Canto VII will have our journey be in one?

The thing is, those two have a connection to a very important person (Sonya and Demian respectively), Ishmael doesn't know about Ahab's connection with Herman.

But hey Heathcliff's deal was that he was straight and sad about "un"requited love so there's that ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Do you think Ishmael is self-conscious about how she's surrounded by powerful and important people and her whole deal was just that she was gay and sad on a boat?

the whole emotion spectrum of Yulia is about subtlety. i try to convey her feelings with the lowest possible amount of muscle movement — her showoff of emotions is really weak

anyway those ones were easy, the minimum amount of muscle studying was required (i’m gonna die when i get to her angry faces)

Oh yeah. Now that we’re pretty comfortably into Season 4, I thought I should bring up a small theory me and my friends played around with concerning Don and what her Deal is.

specifically, we have a sort-of-crack theory that Don was actually a Lobotomy Corporation feather before becoming a part of Limbus Company.

Now, not of the main branch, of course. But there are some oddities about her character that kind of run parallel to stuff in Lobotomy corporation aren’t there?

-the fact that her first response to Sinclair experiencing mental corruption is to beat the shit out of him— that’s standard procedure for Panicking Lobotomy Corporation agents. -The outfit she’s wearing on her mugshot is remarkably similar to the EGO suits worn in the main facility- particularly Penitence, though this is a stretch lmao

-the fact that she’s one of the few sinners to have blatantly omitted information on her record. Why her?? If it was simply that she had a high risk of mental corruption, wouldn’t that be something the incoming manager should know so they can properly deal with her?

-the way she Knows Things- maybe you can deduce it as her simply being more studious than she lets on though lmao. She definitely is, but why? That’s the puzzle.

-Her responses to the abnormalities the group fights. You may think, ‘hey wait isn’t she the most irresponsible member of the group who throws herself at abnormalities haphazardly until something sticks’

Exactly.

Don treats the abnormalities more like one would in Lobotomy Corporation- she studies them. Experiments with them. Tries to see what they react best (and worst) to. And yes, this does most often lead to her death, but that’s just how it goes for nuggets, isn’t it? Throw yourself into the meat grinder against abnormalities until you figure out the most efficient method of care. Hell, judging by the way that Main Branch Don is still alive despite testing her luck with Meat Lantern constantly, she seems to be pretty good at what she does. The only difference between the Don of today and an average branch nugget is, well… this nugget’s got more than one life to lose.

Murder on the WARP Express, huh.

Okay I know I was freaking out about how we're going on a WARP train n shit but like. I want the event to come quickly.

I don't really know whether this will be an NPC event like Blade Lineage or Sinner-focused like TKT and Christmas event. Most likely the former, but I just have like. A specific hope about this okay.

So we know what happened in Lovetown. We have a rundown-kinda of how the train works. We know what abominations might happen. My main curiosities are: 1. Dante; 2. Sinclair

Dante's time powers was elaborated on in TKT, and my curiosity is self-explanatory, since WARP trains' mechanics warp time (get it? Okay sorry) during its travels inside the alternate dimension world thingy. I'm pretty sure prosthetics are usually fine since I don't think W corp bans prosthetics or anything (Atleast I don't remember them banning it...). But Dante's powers are related to his prosthetics so like. Will it be affected? Will the "bond" of the sinners' time be affected? Will they be affected? Will Dante's powers work in the train? Will he retain his memories if his clock head gets damaged at any point? I just have so many questions and PM leaving me (us) on a cliffhanger hurts(?) me...

Anyways point 2: Sinclair. We all know Canto IV is the first "real" Canto, so to speak. Gregor and Rodya's were clearly too short and just felt like mood-setters than anything, and Sinclair's is the closest we got to an actual one at launch. And also the (kind of) first Mili song we got. But the thing is. Sinclair didn't really get much of his moment. Kromer got killed by Demian. He still hasn't fully come to terms/move on with his past. We all know he's pretty much traumatized by things that overly "fleshy", so to speak. So now I really want him, like Rodya, to get some contemplation too. And who knows. If some fleshy abominations happen, I want to get more Sinclair content. Hell, draw a few parallels between Sinclair and this time's boss like TR and Rodya. Have it have prosthetics or smth but still be a fleshy mass. I'm just curious how he'll react to all this. I know any character development probably get reset since that's just how WARP trains are engineered to be, but this just circles back to Dante since they're bound to his time.

it was very clever and bold of you to go to the submissions box when the ask box was closed down. I kind of admire your thinking here; modern problems, modern solutions, right? I will only indulge and answer this one because I like the idea, but next time this happens I'm deleting it without batting an eye.

< You did very good today, Hong Lu. > Dante tells him after they've cleared a mirror dungeon. According to their pda's data, Hong Lu was the most valuable employee this time, < I'll get you extra dessert for dinner! >

Rodion is already wistfully sighing in the back of the group, and Dante's about to address it but then they are quickly ambushed by two slender but deceptively strong arms. Hong Lu scoops them up into a tight hug and spins them around once.

"Thank you~" He chirps with his cheek squished against the front of the clock face. Dante waives their arms helplessly.

"Unhand the manager right now!" Outis commands, "How dare you-!"

Hong Lu ignores her, still holding onto Dante and rubbing his cheek on the cold metallic surface of the clock head. They pat his back nervously, afraid some kind of fight would arise but instead Hong Lu keeps holding onto them with one arm while patting the top of their head with his free hand.

"You also did a great job, Manager Dante!"

< Uh... thank you... > Dante replies. They're deeply flustered.

Hong Lu let go of them with a giggle and then walks away, or rather skips away. There's a joyful spring to his step.

"What an insufferable brat!" Outis seems livid, "I will punish him for insubordination with your permission, Executive Manager!"

< There's no need, Outis. > They dismiss her. She's still frowning but obediently accept their order.

They try not to show it, but these simple words of praise from Hong Lu put them in a good mood for the rest of the day.
