Percy, to Pike: You’re intimidating as fuck, you know that?

Pike: Me?

Percy: Yes.

Pike: How?!

Percy: Everyone’s always worried about impressing you.

Pike: Impressing me?

Percy, briskly: Yes, it’s why we’re rubbish when you’re not around, is everybody’s trying to impress you.

Pike: You know, I’m just rubbish. I’m just all the time rubbish [She laughs].

Percy: I know. Believe me, I’m aware. [He hands her a letter] Here’s a list of every terrible thing I’ve got going on in this city right now. So you’ll know what I’ve got cooking, plus some people that if you need particular things, you can talk to in the city, who are friends of the family. Uh, ten things to see in the city that might be nice, and my ten favorite books in the library, in case you get bored.
