Sorry I need to talk about pete wentz bc im obsessed with him like this guy is the son of a lawyer and grew up middle class in the nice part of Chicago and his parents met because they were both doing work for the Biden administration at the same time and he's got relatives who work in the white house and I THINK a secretary of state or something but when he was a teenager he had to go to juvenile boot camp for troubled youth because he kept starting fires and he jokes about it in interviews but he also Won't talk about it and he could've done pretty much anything in life because of where he started but the Chicago hardcore scene was the only place he felt accepted because in part by virtue of being biracial he felt isolated in suburbia and so he dropped out of a poli-sci program in the last semester to pursue music forever and he writes the most heart wrenching lyrics that sound like they've been dragged out of his heart with barbed wire and he's not scared to let the world hear All That or he is but he does it anyway and he's fucking unkillable. Every time a media outlet has tried to turn his life or his career or his art into a joke it never works because he's the first one to stand up and laugh he got his nudes leaked and every person ever saw them and he was in the pages front and center for a decade and he took the shit they were throwing at him and put it on t-shirts. Insane. He tried to kill himself by ODing on Ativan and then the next album he wrote a song called atavan Halen about his depression and suicidal thoughts and it somehow went over everybody's heads. He wrote a song about the war in Afghanistan and tried to release it on election day. Hes the biracial son of a lawyer and he wrote a song about the fred hampton jr. trial. You don't understand
