I kinda wanted to do the other clones, but I'm tired and stopped at the blue boys.

Inspired by doing putty work on drywall for 4 hours today and then watching Ferngully with my munchkins.

will do a decent job but its not his forte

will be looking things up just as much as you or even more so

the kind to measure 5 times then cut

a bit of a perfectionist with whatever the project is

is best at painting, puttying and sanding

its not that they're "easier" he just can focus better on them like he does when he's in his infirmary

put on some music and get him the supplies and he'll be singing, dancing and working for hours

takes his own breaks and will keep an eye on you to make sure you do too

isn't so great at the plumming work, avoids it the best he can

will try to call a favour in or hire someone to do it rather than do it himself

likes the staple and nail guns

any time they need to be used will practically sprint to them

you both will be wearing all protective gear and all safetys will be checked

he's a medic, he knows EXSACTLY what will go wrong and why

he is not letting either of you get hurt on his watch

Fives

is probably dragging Echo into the work with him, lets be real

likes using the power screw driver the most out of all the tools

likes making "screwing" jokes more

the kind to eyeball things but gets it wrong

you're going to be arguing a good chunk of the time

will watch a ton of videos on how to do something as sneaky as possible

that way you think he just knew all this info all along

doesnt like the saw. any of the saws.

he's either gonna guilt Echo into cutting the items or will just pout at the machine

cuz he's the guy and he wants to do the thing FOR YOU but he hates the saw

you'll probably never know what the beef with the saw actually is

is really good at electrical work but will zap himself half the time

pokes things with his face scrunched up and if hes not zapped will smack it a few times before he trusts that its safe

Echo, if nearby, will try to manage him so he doesnt accidentally kill himself

he will also sit next to Fives and point out every single, tiny mistake he made

which just gets them arguing

turns on music super loud and will half forget what he's doing to dance and sing to the tunes

will pull you away from whatever you were trying to work with to dance with you

Echo

tries to avoid Fives but if his twin shows up then he forces him to help

Echo is a thousand times better at the electrical tasks than Fives but doesn't brag about it

he lets Fives think that he's better while he (Echo) will go in behind him and fix the mistakes he didn't correct Fives on

Echo is not scared of the saw like Fives, but he doesn't like the staple/nail guns

also will not tell you why

if you use it and it makes that awful bang sound, Echo will jump 5 ft in the air like a startled Tooka-cat

will deny it to his death bed though

Fives won't even bug him about it cuz Echo doesnt tease him about the saw

wants the work done right but over ASAP

he's going to be working through his breaks, but if Fives is there then he'll be more prone to taking breaks

expect him to be watching videos, asking professionals, googling and getting how to books on his datapad before he does a single thing

hes gonna measure 3 times and mark everything before he thinks about cutting or securing something then he's gonna check it another 2 times before actually doing the thing

will go over everything with you before you start any project because he wants to make sure you're on he same page

Hardcase

eyeballs everything and doesn't measure at all, you're going to have to do the measuring

if you don't watch him, he'll do half of it wrong and swear he did it right and something randomly happened

loves all the power tools, he'll mess around with him too

you'll probably end up calling Kix to yell at him over a call about safety

won't use a ladder and if he can't reach, he'll throw you up on his shoulders and get you to do the thing

everything is gonna be a bit wonky if you let him do it himself but if you take charge of the project, he'll do whatever you ask

except measure

anything that takes a while is the bane of his existance so you're gonna have to make sure he doesn't try to rush the project out of boredom

you'll end up with half dried putty being painted on and half dried paint having things place upon or screwed to it

likes to put up shelves and pictures to most, as simple as it is

is super giddy when he sees the end project too, like he'll practically do a happy dance

Dogma

he's not gonna let you do a damn thing unless he's checked it like fifty times

Dogma seems the kind to mansplain it to you and then say you're at fault if it screws up

also a perfectionist

you end up sitting back and watching him do the thing then, when he's not around, fixing the issues he left behind

Except arguing to the max, you thought Fives' was bad...you gotta 'nother thing coming

is only decent at everything because he'll actually go get instruction from a 'professional'

but the project will cost twice if not thrice as much because he'll do whatever said professional said to the letter

what do you mean you don't need 6 different putty knives? you can't do it all with just a big and small one

has a collection of all the different kinds of screws, nails and tools

when it comes to the tools, he has a power, mini, normal amd long 'necked' version of each size

it's extremely excessive but he swears he can't do a proper job without all of that

most of the time it turns out great looking so you just let him do the thing

while he's not shy of any tool...he is really bad at making any furniture items

don't expect even a simple shelf to turn out right

is very stubborn and will not call for help when he needs it

would much rather ruin everything than ask for help, fuck you

is hangry most of the time, there's a short window after feeding the monster where he's okay but then is hangry all over again

Tup

while he's not the best at any one thing, he really likes making things

whether thats a decorative piece, a shelf or an entire bookcase

will paint little random details on things

you'll find tiny little flowers in the window sill corners and little paw prints, or other designs, on door frames in random spots

will ask you if he's doing it okay at least twenty times every ten mins

takes forever doing things because he's worried he'll mess up

closes his eyes before he presses the trigger on the staple/nail gun despite being able to handle blaster fire just fine

wears a bandanna over his head like a granny to keeps stuff out of his hair

is a total mess when he does work

painting? he's got paint on his face, up his arms and on his clothes

wears work gloves when he handles wood items and metal because he doesn't want slivers or metal shavings in his fingers

will sneak off to make you snackies for a break

likes to have music while he helps you work but not the loud kind, he wants cool and soft music to ease his anxious energy over the projects

lights up like the sun when he looks at a finished part of the project

doesn't matter if its a 20% progress stop on the project, he's grinning like an idiot over it

he'll be right next to you, monitoring the situation not even 5 ft from you while you do the thing though

no amount of reasoning will get him to go back to whatever it is that he was previously doing until you have left the vacinty of the dangerous thing

Rex wants to learn to do all the home improvement things because he heard natborn guys usually take care of those tasms in 'normal' households

expect to be ferrying tools and items while he's hyperfixated on the task

you're going to have to enforce breaks very strictly

can do with or without music...but if you're singing and dancing while working, he'll crank it because he loves seeing you so into it

is the thrifty-est of the group

sure the professional you called said you need premium, fancy, pressure-treated wood for the bookcase but Rex saw a video where a guy used pallettes and he's sure if he makes sure there's proper structural holds then it'll be okay

is a master at giving old furniture new life, he surprises himself with this

makes thorough plans with you on projects

when its finished he'll boast about how you both did the thing
