My jaw went slack. I looked my mom dead in the eyes, 

“Looks, it's not for you honey..” She hesitated. 

I got ready to leave, is she fucking serious ? 

“It's just, we need someone to help you watch Greg.. Everytime I leave you two on your own.. You just.. Cause trouble..” 

She whispered the last part. We both knew she was embarrassed to admit she really couldn't control her own kids. 

“So it's a babysitter for Greg ?” I tested, seeing if I could get myself out of this. 

She sighed, “Yes. You can think of it like that..” 

I smirked, then we could just, 

“But you two are still going to watch Greg together.” 

“What.”  

“I'm not letting this become an excuse for you to disconnect from your family ! With me, your father and Manny leaving for a week.. I need to know you and Greg will grow close, and stay safe..! You know, I read this parenting article, and-”

I forgot, there's no point in trying to argue.
