THIS! Some Of The Best Fics Ive Ever Read Never Went Into Elaborate Smut Scenes! Hardcore Smut Definitely
THIS! Some of the best fics I’ve ever read never went into elaborate smut scenes! Hardcore smut definitely has its place but sometimes you just want plot.
I’ll add to this reminder too - a “happily ever after” does NOT always mean pregnancy/children!! Maybe it’s just the fandoms I’ve been reading recently but 9/10 fics end up with the heroine pregnant or having a baby.
FYI it is entirely possible to have a breeding kink and NOT actually ever want children.
I'm trying to prove a point to my brain: Reblog if you think fanfiction does not need sex to be good.
There is a trend I’ve noticed that smut fics tend to be much more popular than anything else and honestly I just want to have something to look at to remind myself and that writing doesn’t have to have sex to be worth putting out into the community.

Muse Food - Fic Idea
Not sure if this will speak to anyone, but if it does please take the idea and run with it!
Inspired by the song: “If You Love Her” Forest Blakk
This can work with a number of contexts/pairings - to me it seems perfect for the Top Gun fandom, essentially Character A (Rooster for example) writes Character B (Hangman for example) a letter to be read if anything should happen to them (the lyrics to the song). Maybe it’s about their sister or their girl, whomever they’ve asked Character B to take care of if something happens.
Lyrics:
Take it If she gives you her heart Don't you break it Let your arms be a place She feels safe in She's the best thing that you'll ever have
She always has trouble Falling asleep And she likes to cuddle While under the sheets She loves Pop songs And dancing, and bad trash TV There's still a few other things
She loves love notes and babies And likes giving gifts Has a hard time accepting A good compliment She loves her whole family And all of her friends So if you're the one she lets in
Take it If she gives you her heart Don't you break it Let your arms be a place She feels safe in She's the best thing that you'll ever have She'll love you If you love her
On days when It feels like the whole World might cave in Stand side by side And you'll make it She's the best thing that you'll ever have She'll love you If you love her like that
Kiss her with passion As much as you can Run your hands through her hair Whenever she's sad And when she doesn't notice How pretty she is Tell her over and over So she never forgets
Take it If she gives you her heart Don't you break it Let your arms be a place She feels safe in She's the best thing that you'll ever have She'll love you If you love her
On days when It feels like the whole World might cave in Stand side by side And you'll make it She's the best thing that you'll ever have She'll love you If you love her like that
She'll love you If you love her like that She'll love you If you love her She'll love you If you love her like that
She'll love you She'll love you She'll love you She'll love you If you love her
On days when It feels like the whole World might cave in Stand side by side And you'll make it She's the best thing that you'll ever have She'll love you If you love her like that
Two other points to be made: 1. Folks made a fuss over Josh Brolin signing on to play George W. Bush in 2018's "W" and that turned out to a parody/comedy. 2. When the actual "Apprentice" debuted in 2004 it introduced Trump to a whole new generation, made him relevant and "viral" (anyone else remember the 'You're fired' or how much discussion there was about Omarosa?). What would Trump's chances have been had he not become a household name because of that show? Here we are roughly 20 years later and the world has now seen his true colors. That in itself is a cautionary tale - folks were once turning on the TV to watch this guy and two decades later folks were shutting it off to shut him up.
For everyone who is majorly upset about Sebastian taking this role:
I totally get that it’s hard to see your fave portraying someone so awful. However, keep these things in mind:
It’s not an “origin story” or a film praising the orange man.
It’s a film showing his corruption and ruthless, unethical tactics.
It is not a film making Trump look good or celebrating him.
Sebastian is an actor. This is his job.
He’s played Jeff Gillooly and Tommy Lee already; he plays polarizing characters often.
Him taking this role is not an endorsement for Trump or support for Trump’s actions or platform.
He has openly said he despises Trump.
Why are they making this movie? I don’t know.
If you’re upset about this movie, that’s totally fair and valid.
Just don’t view his role in it as something that it’s not.
Either Chris Downey or John Rogers has said on The Official Leverage: Redemption After Show that they knew from the moment they saw the “we provide leverage” scene at the end of the first episode that it would be the ending of the show as well but with Parker in Nate’s seat.
Rewatching the series there is TOTAL foreshadowing that Nate was grooming Parker from the start. He always calmly takes the time to explain what con is what, give little coaching moments (ie “The Order 23 Job”), and towards the end of the series easily lets Parker come up with the plan and follows her lead implicitly (“The Blue Line Job”).
It’s a lot of fun to rewatch and spot the little moments once you know what to look for.
Things I hadn't noticed in the Nigerian Job till my 6th re-watch-
The thing is, Parker does go out on the original count Nate starts on the rooftop, not the one he restarts after Hardison comments. That is her following the plan. The original plan.
Now when Hardison has Eliot at gunpoint in the abandoned factory Dubenich assembled them in, when Nate asked Eliot why he didn't look worried Eliot says 'safety's on', but Hardison doesn't fall for it. It's only when NATE says it he goes to check and gets the gun taken away. He gets the doubt from NATE, not Eliot. Because Nate is the (former) white knight, the straight and narrow, the Not-thief in their merry little band. They show us from the beginning just how powerful Nate's role is, having played both sides of the coin
Thirdly, Nate approaches a pissed off and cheated-out-of-her-money Parker a lot different than he treated the other two. He talks to Eliot in a levelheadedness he knows a professional hitter and extraction specialist like him would have. And he treats Hardison with quick and easy ruses so he's appeased and disarmed for the moment allowing him a moment to calm down. But PARKER, he treats with care and patience. Not condescension. Just a healthy respect for the fact that she is the best at what she does and the fact that she's not gotten her money yet makes her unpredictable and with her skillset nearly unwavering at her stance.
Idk man, every time I watch this show I'm blown away at the details and characterizations
I started writing fan fiction at about 15 years old, I’m 36 now and am just as obsessed as ever ❤️
Reblog if you’re over 20 and still read/write fan fiction.
I’m curious!
