❤ Alastor is oblivious as hell. Coming from the 1900s, he probably doesn't even realize that his politeness usually comes off as flirting. ❤ TV-head Vox though is more informed thanks to his close connection with the media and technology. Vox is unaware of Alastor's background though. Alastor's charming demeanor is natural, being radio-host while he was alive. Al's politeness is used to deceive the people around him, making them turn a blind eye. ❤ Vox, being none the wiser, took this politeness as a hint at a possible relationship, and this spontaneous big-headed a** thought it would be a good idea to ask Al to "join his team". Bad news, The Radio Demon doesn't have time for such trivial matters. ❤ Alastor isn't the person to grasp the entire concept of emotions, specifically love/affection. He knows hate, anger, fear, most of the negative ones because that's what he's good at controlling. Terrorizing sinners, making them feel helpless, hopeless and afraid. ❤ Vox was trying to win him over. Being friends, likely allies in the past, Alastor's rejection was like a stab in the back. His love was unrequited, he was a fool to believe Alastor - a wickedly charismatic yet a ruthless killer, would have enough emotional capacity for a relationship whilst continuing his terror in hell. ❤ Alastor doesn't know what those emotions mean. He assumed Vox would just brush it off and move on, not turn into a full on arch-nemesis. Furthermore, Alastor is a master-manipulator. He could just be using Vox all along, and we all know how love can blind a person. ❤ Vox needs craves attention, company and closure. Alastor leaving him, being absolutely humiliated by someone he thought he could trust, was where he fell into his lowest. After that, Vox just snapped. ❤ Vox picked a fight where he almost lost. He was fighting to pay back for the damage it caused. He was fighting for his pride, to give Alastor that same feeling of humiliation he had felt. ❤ It was still unclear who won or lost. If Vox had won, that should explain why Alastor disappeared for 7 years, maybe to recover. If Alastor had won, this just gives another reason for The TV Demon to loathe him with his heart and soul. ❤ And thats mistle's version of one-sided radiostatic.
