pairings: Remus Lupin x Fem! Reader, James Potter x Fem! Reader, Sirius Black x Fem! Reader. summary: The marauders all have a crush on their best friend, Y/n. Cupids Fourteen Love Stories 

Y/n opened her door quickly spotting James Potter holding a bouquet of flowers with a huge grin on his face. Y/n stared at him confused, she didn’t expect to have someone in front of her door, let alone her best friend holding a bouquet of roses. But what Y/n didn’t know was that Sirius and James had gotten into a big fight about a week ago. She noticed how they avoided each other’s eyes and didn’t even speak a word their way. When she asked Remus what was going on he would tell her to just let them be, that it would pass. Remus knew that after a few drinks hell would break loose and that’s what happened. The duo after hours of talking decided to drunkenly confess their feelings towards Y/n L/n.

“You know, valentine’s day is coming up and I thought it would be a great idea to ask someone out” Sirius slurred out leaning his frame against James body.

“I’m thinking the same thing, maybe we can go on a double date. Who are you thinking of asking out?” James asked, looking at his friend playing with his black locs.

“Y/n” He replied with a goofy grin  making Remus and James stare at each other in shock.

“You can’t ask Y/n out, I wanted to ask her!” James exclaimed, pushing Sirius off of him.

“Wait! you wanted to ask her out? Since then, you were literally obsessed with Lily last week” Sirius exclaimed pushing him back with all his strength.

“I was not! stop saying things that aren’t true! I always liked Y/n, you’re just saying that because you know Y/n would say yes to me and not you. Tell him Remus” James exclaimed patting Remus so he would back him up.

“I’m going to bed, I’m not getting involved” Remus stood up walking towards his room leaving the duo fighting about who loved Y/n more in the common room. The next day when Remus woke up and noticed the awkward tension between them, he knew that they didn’t finish their fight the night before. Which was true.

James and Sirius had ended the night with the “great” idea of battling for Y/n’s love. The better man would win her heart. So James wanted to be one step ahead of Sirius knowing that he doesn’t wake up early he decided to give her flowers.

“A rose for a rose” James said, holding the bouquet of flowers towards her. He leaned towards her, smiling wide.

“Thank you? But I don’t think the pick up line goes with this, its a bouquet not a single rose” She said laughing a little while placing the flowers down a walking side by side with James down the stairs of the common room.

“I think you can excuse the pick up line just for your special b…”  before he could even finish he noticed Sirius standing in the middle of the common room holding an enormous teddy bear. James glared at Sirius while Y/n looked at Sirius confused.

“Since when do you get up so early?” She asked, looking down at Sirius approaching him. She watched as he struggle to hold up the teddy bare

“This teddy bear represents my love for…” Sirius started but Y/n cut him off helping him with the teddy bear placing it down on the couch.

“Now I can hear you better. Who are you going to give that bear? Cause I doubt it would fit in anywhere”

“Actually the bear is for you my love” Sirius said, taking her hand and kissing it. Y/n stared at him with confusion before James went towards them, slapping his hand away.

“I told you to back away, ass face” James yelled at Sirius.

“You’re not the boss of me, I can do whatever I want” Sirius responded in the same tone. The pair started throwing insults at each other not noticing Y/n backing up to meet up with Remus that was staring from the top of the stairs.

“That’s what they’ve been fighting about?” She asked Remus while standing next to him watching James and Sirius hit each other.

“Yeah”

“And you didn’t tell me?” She asked, looking at him discreetly.

“I knew you would find out eventually. I didn’t know they would do all this” Remus said, shrugging.

“It still surprises me they haven’t noticed we are dating” She said with a chuckle nudging  his shoulder.

“They are quite oblivious” He responded, chuckling and wrapping an arm around her waist.

“You should also step up your game, because I got a life size teddy bear and a bouquet of flowers from my best friends and nothing from my boyfriend. Now if you excuse me, I have some flowers I need to save”

"But- But darling," Sirius starts, his tone placating as he stares fearfully at the tears in your eyes, "You'd be a moth."

"And that would be all it took for you not to love me anymore?!" You blubbered, sniffling pitifully.

"Well we couldn't kiss you very well if you were a moth." James reasoned, "We'd crush you!"

"Oh, so you only love me 'cause you can kiss me?" You finally let a tear slide down your cheek, "That's mean."

"No, dove." Remus coos, wrapping an arm around your shoulder and tugging you into a side-hug, "We'd adore you if you were a moth, we'd keep a pretty little light on all day so you'd stay with us always."

Modern marauders headcanon that nothing really scares Sirius. But you know what? Minions. He’s terrified of minions and the boys know this and enjoy it very much. They’ve even practiced speaking minion just to mess with him.

Remus (turning the lights off in the dorm): Goodnight dudes

Sirius (pulling his covers over himself): Goodnight!

(5 minutes later)

James (making incoherent minion babble under Sirius’ bed)
