The kids grow suspicious of Steve cause out of nowhere he stops complaining that he can’t get dates and… seems happier? They come to the obvious conclusion that he’s clearly seeing someone but they think it’s weird he hasn’t said anything about this mystery girlfriend. They decide to take things into their own hands and start poking around, trying to get it out of Robin who keeps her lips sealed (she knows who it is obviously) anyway… they decide to snoop around and Max gets a glimpse of Steve and the mystery girl through the window at the diner, assuming it’s Nancy when she sees a head of curls. They go to Nancy, trying to get her to spill but she gives them a confused look and says she has no idea what they’re talking about. Fast forward a couple nights later and they decide to do a stake out at Steve’s… completely losing their shit when they see a very familiar van and their good pal Eddie stride up to the door and greet Steve with a kiss as he opens it.

Eddie: Okay, okay. Beverly… What’s the last thing you remember about me?

Bev: That you just asked me that question
