Summary

Excerpt

“I guess I just want to make sure that I find the right partner,” Namjoon replies.

You notice him wiping his sweaty palms on his knees, already so nervous. “Don’t worry,” you reply reassuringly. “My entire career has been spent on the study of human behavior. Trust in this system. It works.”

A scoff comes out of the other one, the one that Namjoon has dragged into your office.

“Would you like to say something?” you ask him.

“Just that this is a bunch of bullshit,” he replies smugly.

“Jungkook,” Namjoon says wearily. “I brought you here for support.”

It has a name, you think.

“You don’t find people through apps and formulas,” Jungkook continues, “you find them in real life.”

“And how’s that working out for you?” you ask. Namjoon stifles a laugh.

Jungkook leans forward and looks at your sad desk salad. He smirks at you. “Maybe I should ask you the same question.”
