For one thing, it would have been REALLY difficult to explain that in a way, he WAS ( sort of ) his Grandpa; or at least the last remaining fragment of his existence. Sometimes, even HE had trouble grappling with the memories he grew up with and the memories of Grandpa's adventures. Not to mention, it would have caused more problems for Penacony and the Trailblazers.
