DR1 Characters Cheering You Up (Pt. 2)

A/N: I know I said I wouldn’t make another one of these but like I’m a liar so. Also @bumblebees-and-wildflowers​ wanted one with some of their comfort characters so. I promise I’ll get to requests after this. Enjoy!

Makoto

Makoto is really good at cheering people up, he’s a really positive person so it just makes sense

As soon as you started to feel down, you left your dorm and wandered over to his

“Makoto?” You hate that your voice had started to shake

“Hey, I was just setting up a movie to watch, you want to come in and watch with me?”

One step into his room, you could tell he hadn’t been about to set a movie up at all

He lied so you wouldn’t feel bad about taking up his time

You don’t say anything about it and join him in sitting

He pulled out a bag of snacks

“They’re from home! Help yourself, (Y/n)!”

The two of you sat for hours, laughing and making dumb jokes

Your throat was sore by the end of the night, a smile splitting your face

You couldn’t even remember why you’d been upset in the first place

(If it’s a weekend the two of you turn it into a sleepover)

(Dancing around the dorm room hyped on sugar with Makoto at 1am)

Hina

Like Makoto, Hina is really good at cheering you up

She notices you’re feeling down almost immediately, while the two of you are standing have a conversation

“(Y/n)! Are you okay!?”

You’re slightly taken aback by her question, you were having an off day but you didn’t think anybody else had noticed

“I’m fine, Hina, it’s just been a long day…”

She immediately drags you swimming with her (”It’ll make you feel better!”)

Then the two of you go out and grab donuts

You have to fight the urge to tell her just because these things cheer her up, doesn’t mean they work on everyone

Her dedication to cheering you up, even if you’re not a huge fan of the actual activities warms your heart

At least she cares enough to try

“So what do you think, (Y/n)? Are you feeling better?”

You grinned at her

“Definitely.”

Mondo

He finds you crying somewhere on the campus

At first, he isn’t sure what to do

The two of you have never been particularly close and he isn’t good when people are crying

He contemplates turning around and pretending he didn’t see you

“W- What’s wrong with ya?”

He winces slightly at the harsh question, but his words are enough to startle you into noticing him

This is the worst day of your life, not only are you crying in public, but the Ultimate Biker Gang Leader had seen you crying 

He stares at you clearly expecting an answer

“I… I don’t know., you cringe slightly at the stupid answer and he seems to consider this

“Is there anythin’ I can do to make ya feel better?”

You shrug and he once again seems to consider this

He gets up and you’re sure he’s going to leave you to your misery, when something heavy drapes over your shoulders

Your head shoots up, looking at the Crazy Diamond jacket draped over your shoulders

“My brother used ta do it for me and it cheered me up…” he shrugs sheepishly

You smile slightly

“Thank you, Owada.”

Sakura

“I’m going to need to skip training today, Sakura. My apologies…”

“Is something wrong, (Y/n)?”

“No, no! Nothing for you to worry about, I’m just not feeling great and need some alone time.”

She grants you the reprieve from your usual training session and you feel your whole body relax

The last thing you want is for your friend to think you’re ditching her on purpose

You settle into your bed, closing your eyes to take a nap

A knock on your dorm door, snaps you out of your nap a few hours later

You groggily answer the door, surprised to see Sakura standing there with a tray of food, water and protein

“You skipped lunch, so I thought I’d bring it to you,” she explains

Your eyes tear up

No one’s done something this nice for you in a while and it feels weird to be on the receiving end of such generosity

“Thank you, Sakura. Would you like to come in?”

She accepts your offer and the two of you sit

You enjoy your meal and she keeps you company with small idle chitchat

She probably didn’t realize how much you appreciated what she’d done for you, but that was okay

You’d return the favour when she wasn’t doing so good

Byakuya

When you first come to him and tell him you’re upset, his first response is to ask if you want him to buy you something to cheer you up

You huff and tell him “money can’t buy you happiness”

He tries to argue but you cut him off, telling him that all you want is to spend some time with him to keep your mind off what’s bothering you

He doesn’t know what that means, what you want him to do

“Nothing, I want you to do nothing. Just keep reading.”

You settle yourself on your bed as he stares at you skeptically, before going back to reading his book

There’s a slight pause

He looks back up

“Do you want me to read to you?”

“Now you’re getting it,” you look up at him expectantly

He swallows and begins to read, his voice filling your head, shaking away all the negative thoughts that’d been stuck there

You watch him read, focused on the words, ignoring everything around him

“How was that?” he asks after a while, looking up

You’re passed out on his dorm room bed

He rolls his eyes, turning back to his book to resume reading on his own

❤ Your words don't process with him at first. He goes, "yes, mama, S/O told me to tell you that you're going to be a gran-"

❤ His thoughts get interrupted by the loud "WHAT" from the cellphone. He hops up, quickly trying to untangle himself from the phone wire as you step closer.

❤ He screams, "Mama, we're having a baby!"

❤ Once you get into arms length he pulls you into a hug. From this distance, you can pick up each of his moms screams of delight.
