Shisui would always take the extra time to say goodbye to his s/o, normally preferring to spend the whole day before he’s due to leave with you. He will get really annoyed or frustrated if he’s given short notice for a mission, often complaining to whoever will listen that it’s “ridiculous” or “unfair”, when really everyone knows its because he’ll really miss you.

Shisui will try and teach his civilian s/o some basic defence skills, often worried about you while he’s away. He wants to be sure that when he leaves you for long periods of time that you’ll be okay, and although he wouldn’t admit it, he worries about you when he’s away.

Shisui often “forgets” to go to debriefings when he returns from missions, mainly because his main focus on his return is you. He loves to see the look on your face when he’s back from a mission early, and will often scoop you into his arms wherever you are. He has no problem with starting a make out session in public, in front of everyone. To him, it doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks.

No matter how much notice Shisui is given before his mission, he always finds time to say goodbye to you properly. Secretly it’s to give him some peace-of-mind. No matter how many times you assure him that you love him and won’t go looking for anyone else, he wants to make sure. Itachi also would prefer a civilian s/o who doesn’t necessarily want to hear about his missions or the things he’s done. Maybe partly for fear of you being scared of him or leaving him. He would love a s/o who just welcomes him home and makes sure he’s okay without needing any details or asking a lot of questions.

When Pain returns, don’t be offended if you’re not the first person he turns to. In his mind, he’s a busy guy and he’s got no fear of losing you so you might end up quite low on his priority list. When he does finally get around to finding the time for you though, it’ll definitely be worth the wait.

On the occasions where he is with you before he leaves for a mission, fully expect to be sore in the morning. Pain makes the most of the time you both have together before he leaves. Pain know’s you would never dare cheat on him with anyone else, but he’ll bite down on your neck to mark you, as more of a warning to anyone who may try and get to you while he’s away.

When Pain returns from a long mission he always likes to tease his civilian s/o. You had absolutely no idea what you were doing. No idea.

You barely knew how to take care of yourself, let alone a small wolf pup that was starving because of how long it’d been left on his own. You literally had no idea. But when you saw him - you determined the pup was a male pretty quickly - and saw how alone he looked, you couldn’t just leave him there. Alone.

Even if he was a wolf and wolves weren’t really pets. But in this world, nothing was really all that normal - so you pushed aside that thought. This pup was injured and alone and no one was going to take care of him, so that responsibility fell on your shoulders in return.

Only, and you’ve mentioned it a few times now, you had no idea how to take care of such a young puppy. 

So, you did the only thing you could think of - talk to the one man you knew that would know everything about taking care of a dog, or something like a dog. And that was Kiba Inuzuka.

Given that you lived in the same village as him and you two were close friends, it didn’t take long for you to find him at his house. It was quite early in the morning too, but any guilt you would’ve felt was lost at the sound of the young wolf whining and fidgeting in your arms. You needed Kiba - now.

After a good minute of your repetitive knocking, the door swung open to reveal a rather disgruntled looking Kiba. His hair was disheveled, meaning that he’d just woken up from slumber and he was in nothing more than pair of sweats hanging low on his hips. Needless to say he looked rather attractive, and normally that thought would’ve passed through your mind if you’d seen Kiba in this state any other time but now.

When the door first open, Kiba’s mouth was wide open, ready to yell any frustrated and annoyed insult he could throw at the person who’d so rudely awoken him from his sleep. But the moment his eyes fell on you and the small little creature in your arms, all shouts of indignation fell silent.

“Y-Y/N?”

Taking a deep breath, you did your best not to cry. “Kiba,” you squeaked, “I need your help.”

Kiba stepped aside wordlessly, letting you step by him to which you graciously accepted. Once you were past him and out of the morning cold, Kiba turned to you with those utterly confused and baffled eyes once again. “Y/N, it’s four in the morning. What the hell is happening? And why do you have a dog in your arms?”

“It’s a wolf,” you corrected, despite yourself. “And I found him in the woods. I was returning from a mission when I found him. He was howling out in pain and he looked awfully skinny - I knew I couldn’t just leave him there so I picked him up. A half hour later I realized I have literally no idea how to care for a animal, let alone a pup! Oh Kami, please, Kiba you have to help me!”

Kiba took quick strides forward, obviously not used to seeing you in such a frazzled state. Normally you were a lot more composed and collected, and given the fact that you were a high-ranking ninja, you had to keep a composed face. But right now… Kiba had never seen you such a way.

“Calm down,” Kiba soothed, grabbing ahold of your shoulders. “I’ll help you, of course I will.”

A smile broke out on your lips as you let out a breath of relief. “Thank you, Kiba!”

And true to his word, Kiba did help you.

After your short conversation, Kiba took the small little guy from your arms and got him some food. You guys chatted as you watched the pup finally get some food in him and after that, Kiba helped you give him a bath, brush his fur nice and neatly and set him down in one of Akamaru’s old beds to sleep. Needless to say, the poor little guy was exhausted.

Somewhere along the way Akamaru had woken up and joined the two of you, and you’d watched with a happy smile as the older dog took the pup under his wing. Even now, as you sat back on Kiba’s couch, your eyes were stuck on the two figures of Akamaru and your little pup, cuddling against one another. It was truly an adorable sight.

“So what are you gonna name him?” 

Kiba’s voice pulled you from your small musings, and with a few blinks of the eye you turned your attention on him. “Hmm?”

“The pup,” Kiba begin, nodding his head towards the small little guy. “What are you gonna name him?”

“Oh,” you bit your lip, “I hadn’t really thought about that.”

“Well, you’re gonna keep him, right?”

The worry that laced Kiba’s voice made you unable to deny his wish. “Of course,” you nodded with a small smile. “I guess I just hadn’t thought that far ahead. As I said… I don’t really know how to take care of a pet…”

Kiba chuckled, baffling you. “First step, name the little guy.” Kiba grinned your way and you couldn’t help but feel your heart flutter a little at his smile. At your continuous staring, Kiba’s smile seemed to falter just a tad bit and his hand reached out to grasp yours. You chose to ignore the way your heart beat rapidly sped up. 

“I know you’re nervous Y/N,” Kiba begun. “Taking care of another is nervous. But hey, if a guy like me can do it, I know you can do it.”

You smiled lightly, feeling your cheeks heat up at his words.

“And, i’ll help you with any thing you need along the way.”

Squeezing his hand, you looked up at Kiba through the early morning light and lean forward slightly, unsure of your actions. Kiba seemed to notice your change in behaviour and you notice his body grow alarmingly still as you leaned close. Suddenly afraid that your actions were too much for him, you moved to lean away but Kiba’s hand caught your cheek, pulling you against him.

Before you knew it, your lips were against his in a messy, sloppy but oh-so-wonderful kiss.

When you pulled away, you smiled dazzedly up at Kiba. “I know what you can help me with first.”

Kiba smirked, raising a brow. “Oh yeah?”

You nodded, cuddling into him. “Naming him.”

Kiba chuckled and you felt it rumble against your chest. “I like Aki.”

“Like autumn?”

Kiba nodded and you smiled, nodding your head. “Okay then, Aki.”

Despite always dreaming about you returning his affection, he surprisingly doesn’t know how to feel. To say he’s mindfucked is an understatement - he’s just spent so much time convincing himself it would never happen, it’s hard to accept that it is.

She has to be messing with me, but why would she do that? 

His initial response is to assume an ulterior motive, then when he remembers that it’s you talking to him - he comes to his senses.

Y/n wouldn’t mess with your feelings like that, don’t be a fool!

“You’re the one that pulled it out of me, Naruto! You can’t get all weird about it after you pushed me to tell you!”

When he finally accepts what you’re saying, he might begin drool.

Naruto can’t contain a smile; he can barely contain his urge to giddy jump around. Immediately, his head fills with ideas of what it’s like being your boyfriend; even his second head starts getting ideas about what the two of you might end up doing. 

Shikamaru:

Your confession to him was so sudden; he almost completely slipped up and dissolved into a panicked, studdering mess.

“Really, huh?” - quo smirk.

Shikamaru is desperate to keep his collected facade up, so he forces a snarky response while a smirk remains plastered to his face. Although part of him may want to confess far more lovesickness than either of you could prepare for, he isn’t about to miss out on a chance to tease you.

Fuck! She is too goddamn cute.

Shikamaru himself is surprised by his self-control in this situation. He’d thought, many times, about what it would be like to confess his attraction towards you; it usually ended in you leaping into his arms for a makeout session - but he has never imagined you being the one to confess.

“Don’t smirk, Shika. God, you can be such an arrogant asshole at times, you know that?”

As you turn around to storm off, he is quick to grab your wrist and pull you back.

“Hey! Hey! Hey! C'mere, you’re such a hothead at times, you know?”

Shika finally breaks down his wall a bit; he doesn’t admit his lovey-dovey feelings towards you, but he does tell you how fine he thinks you are.

Neji:

Why would Lee think to tell me this? How improper! … Although, 

Neji is determined to appear as if he’d never learned about your private confession. He’s quite flustered by the news; part of him even wants to confront you about it, but the other half of him doesn’t want to invade your privacy.

Yet, he is also doubtful about what Lee thinks he heard.

What if Rock Lee lacks context? Y/n doesn’t seem like the kind of person to share such information so carelessly.

Despite his determination, he can’t hide how your confession has affected him. Everything he did around became unnatural and awkward; his uneasiness was very apparent.

Finally, once his emotions reach a boiling point, he decides the best thing to do is face you and talk about what Lee had told him.

“Y/n, I have to tell you something Rock Lee relayed to me.”

After explaining what happened and how Lee found out, he immediately realizes that everything Lee told him was completely true, not misheard assumptions.

Neji is quick to admit his own feelings towards you, yet he is still very reserved about it, sure to not overshare and scare you off.
