Kakashi is married to reader but none of his students know that he’s married. So when they go surprise him at his house they’re shocked to see (Y/N)-sensei there in the kitchen and they’re like “Did you...spend the night at Kakashi’s House?” And she’s like “I’ve been spending the night here for 4 years.”

“Y/N,” His deep, hoarse morning voice pulls you from your sleep. You mumble something incoherent in response, and nuzzle your face further into his neck. You feel his chest rumble as he chuckles. 

“Darling, I have to get up or else I’m going to be late.” He says, but makes no movement to get up. Instead, you feel his arm curl further around you, pulling you even closer than you were before. You smile, and hum into his neck as you tease “you sure see like you’re in a big rush.” 

He chuckles again, goes as far enough to playfully pinch your butt, effectively making you jump in surprise and open your eyes. He laughs this time, and you find it easy to forgive him when he shows you this rare carefree side of him. 

“It’s hard to be in a rush when you’re right here.” He says smoothly, planting a kiss on your forehead. You kiss his neck in response, take a deep breath, and let it out in a bigger sigh.

“I want to stay here with you, but truth be told I don’t want any of my genin showing up here again because I was late.” You sit up, “I’m going to make some breakfast for us. Do you have anything that you’re craving?” The cold air hits your exposed legs, causing you to shiver.

 Kakashi sits up and comments, “Well....I do have a preference actually,” his hands come to gently run his fingers over your legs suggestively. “Stay here.” He says, pulling on a mask before opening the door quietly. You got up and pulled on his black robe, grabbing your kunai from your own bag and followed quietly behind him. You could tell from the way he tensed his shoulders that he wasn’t happy you followed him, but you didn’t care. You could take care of yourself and it was something he sometimes struggled with (not in the sense that he doubts your abilities, but more so of his own insecurities). 

He rounds the corner, and let’s his guard down. 

“What are you three doing here?” He groans out, dropping his head in his hands. You round the corner as well, and see his three genin in the kitchen, in front of an open window. The three of them look past their sensei and see you, and they all gasped. Naruto had the most outward reaction, jaw dropping and eyes widening while he pointed at you accusingly, as if you had entered his kitchen unannounced. 

“Y/N-SENSEI??” He announces loudly, and your ears hurt from how loud it was. Too loud for this early in the morning. He looks over your attire, and he lets out another gasp, stumbling over his words.

“D-Did you...spend the night at Kakashi-sensei’s house?!” He exclaims a little quieter than before. The other two have recovered from their shocked state and watched the interaction with much interest. Kakashi lets out a sigh and walks further into the kitchen. He opens the fridge and takes out some eggs. 

You smile at the awaiting kids in front of you. “Yes, I’ve been spending the night here for the last four years.” If you thought his eyes and mouth couldn’t widen more, you were wrong. Naruto was going to open his mouth to say something else but Sakura wraps an arm around his neck and holds him there. She smiles politely at you. 

“I’m sorry Y/N sensei. We were just worried about Kakashi-Sensei. He was running later than usual so we just wanted to check that everything was okay.”

You smile again and wave them off. “No worries,” you make your way to the kitchen to help your husband prepare breakfast, “I’m surprised it took you this long to find out. He’s always talking about how you three impress him.” You motion for them to come over and hand them some plates.

 Kakashi serves some eggs and rice to each plate. Your husband looks over at you, mildly embarrassed from what you just told them. You grab two plates, one for you and the other for Kakashi before walking up to him to give him an apologetic kiss on the cheek. He serves the food on both your plates and you go to set it down at the table next to his students. 

“I can’t believe it took us this long to find out either. But then again, we still haven’t seen his face.” Sasuke comments. Kakashi brings some coffee and orange juice to the table before joining everyone. It was silent for a minute, everyone enjoying the delicious meal. Your eyes travel over to the kitchen clock to check the time. 

“I have to get going. If I don’t leave now, we’re going to have three more genin showing up here.” You stand, leaning down to kiss Kakashi's cheek. 

“It was nice having you three here. I’ll see you guys later!” You call over your shoulder to go get ready. You let out a laugh when you hear Kakashi tell his genin “your first training exercise today is to wash the dishes” followed with a whole bunch of groaning.
