my head will never wrap around the fact that my university commute (in the same city i live in) is longer than the train from antwerp to utrecht

some vds content filling up my brain rn that i just wanna ramble about:

- new fanfic on the wayyyy :) (fashion student lucas and model/music student jens)

- the amount of songs that weren’t able to get used for sky’s not blue :( i’m sad i wasn’t able to add them into the story/playlist but i don’t have another story concept to use them for

- vds week is halfway done and i’m going to be so sad when i don’t see the abundance of content pop up on my dashboard anymore :,(

- the way i fr thought vds was a real ship before finding out it wasn’t. i binge watched all those youtube edits and didn’t realize they were in fact, edits.

- jens using the “only calling you by your nickname trope” to luc, until a time of distress. and when he finally says lucas, lucas says “you’ve never called me that before.”

- i’m so invested in the way vds could potentially work. and ik all the discourse around it, ie, language barriers / distance / jens = jonas, lucas = isak / lucas deserves his “own even” but i feel like it would be so interesting to figure out how to make it work and still portray all the og skam qualities. that was my main inspo for sky’s still blue. a way to branch out from what is normally expected. besides, it’s clear there’s some validity in the universes meshing together. we literally had eskild make a cameo in skam nl. if that hadn’t happened, i feel like it would be more restricted to think jens could meet lucas but it’s clear the skam universe have some overlap. (also, language barrier seems like a shitty excuse imo, as someone who’s parents speak diff languages, it’s not a very hard concept to grasp. + distance means nothing to me. i travel two hours for university in MY OWN CITY- i do get that europeans tend to dislike more than 30 mins of travel tho but still.)
