IZUKU    COMPLETELY    UNDERESTIMATED    the    villain    that    they    were    facing       ,       and    now    he    watched    in    utter    despair    as    the    man    attacked    kirishima    relentlessly    with    steel    beams.    they    were    both    pretty    hurt    as    it    was     :    izuku    had    broken    both    of    his    arms    and    his    right    leg    and    he    knew    that    kirishima’s    quirk    was    dissipating    as    he    intercepted    what    he    could    of    the    barrage    of    beams    in    order    to    protect    them       ,       flakes    of    his    skin    and    blood    running    down    his    arms.

he    never    felt    so    damn    naive    and    useless    as    he    did    at    this    moment.

when    he    heard    kirishima    shout    out    in    pain    and    collapse    to    his    knees       ,       izuku    felt    his    entire    body    freeze    up    in    a    panic.    his    time    was    up.    the    villain    cackled    with    delight    as    he    forged    another    steel    beam    and    chucks    it    in    kirishima’s    direction    with    all    his    strength.

it    seemed    like    time    decelerates    as    izuku    watches    the    beam    head    straight    towards    the    other    hero    who    obviously    couldn’t    move.    he    was    going    to    die       ,       he    thought    hopelessly       ,       he    going    to    sit    here    and    watch    him    die.

no.    no       ,    he   couldn’t    let    that    happen.    he    wouldn’t    let    it    happen.

with    newfound    strength       ,       izuku    staggers    onto    his    feet.    he    propels    himself    forward    on    his    good    leg    towards    the    redhead       ,       hooking    his    broken    arms    under    the    other’s    armpits    while    hissing    in    agonizing    pain.    however    without    another    thought       ,       he    hauls    the    boy    up    and    tosses    him    out    of    the    way    of    the    oncoming    beam       ,       barely    making    it    out    of    the    way    himself    as    it    lances    itself    into    ground    as    it    impacts    with    a    heavy    thud.
