a/n: i decided to rename the fic from Bits and Pieces to Cuts and Edits! i hope you like this name a little bit more like i do! while i will be on hiatus, i will post for this story. i hope you’re as excited as i am!

Aside from studying film and aspiring to be a director, Jaebeom spends most of his days eating ramen, daydreaming about the girl who works at the local music and movie store, keeping his rowdy friends in line, and posting amateur videos on YouTube.

The time ticked away continuously. The ticking was something most people could tune out but your whole focus and being seemed to be chained to it. The clock on your wrist was too distracting for you to focus as it ticked closer to the future person you would meet.

Your best friend had just met her soulmate. Her clock ran out just as a kind man bumped into her cart at the grocery store and the rest was history. Here you were at their wedding trying to be focused on the nuptials but instead were staring at the clock. 14 days, 13 hours, 26 minutes. Soon. Soon your future would come to you.

“Stop staring at it” your sister said as she came up behind you.

“I can’t” you replied “It is too close to time. I can’t wait to meet him.”

“You will. But the clock isn’t going to move faster if you stare at it. Try to enjoy right now” she said grabbing your hand and pulling you to the dance floor.

Crappy day cuddles- JB (fluff)

You slammed the car door shut and turned the car on. This had been one of the worst days you had had in a long time. Everything that could have possibly gone wrong did and you were so drained and cranky that all you wanted was to go lay in your bed.

You drove home just feeling empty and with a frown glued to your face. You felt both numb and sad at the same time. You might burst into tears or just go limp and stare off into nothing.

Once you arrived home, you trudged into your apartment dropping all your bags in a beeline to your bedroom. You threw the covers off the bed and climbed in. You pulled the covers over your head and put your body into the fetal position.

You sighed and clung to your knees. A hot tear fell out of the corner of your eye and down your cheek. You softly cried the stress out of your body for what seemed like forever but the weight of the crappy day paralyzed your body. The small tears gave a slight relief that just made everything a little bit better. You didn’t know how you were going to get up and face the next day. It all seemed so meaningless.

After a while, you heard the bedroom door creak open but you didn’t move. You physically couldn’t. Your energy was gone and your body was frozen to the sheets.

“Babe?” Your boyfriend called out softly into the room. He must have spotted your lump of a body under the covers because after a few seconds he climbed into the bed and pulled the covers off of your head looking down into your tear soaked eyes.

“What’s wrong?” Jaebum asked wiping the tears out from under your eyes. He gave a small smile at you to try to cheer you up. Seeing his smile did make you feel better but you were still defeated.

You moved a little and put your face into his chest mumbling about your bad day. He cupped the back of your head with his hands and pet your hair as you continued to nuzzle your head into his chest. You threw your arms around him and clung to him tightly. Clinging to him felt like home and you clutched onto that feeling with all your might.

“It’s okay, it’s all over now” he cooed into your ear and then kissed the top of your head. He wrapped his arms around you and pulled you deeper into his embrace. You nuzzled your head into his neck as he held you.

Although the day was one of the worst, you felt your troubles melting away in the warmth of his embrace. All felt right and safe again as he held you.

“Do you want me to go make us some food?” Jaebum asked softly.

“No, please just hold me” you replied clinging to him tighter.

“Alright babe we will just stay right here until you are ready” he said as he pulled you down to a laying position and you both nestled under the covers. The warmth of his touch holding you felt as if he was keeping you from falling further apart. Having someone like him made you feel like you could survive anything as long as it would end right here in his arms.

this is by far one of the best things I've ever read on tee internet. it was so easy to read, the characters were so cute, the dialogues were so funny and it really just made me laugh so much. truly couldn't stop smiling throughout the fic. thank you 🥺❤️
