You can!! Lust is in general a deep desire, you can lust for travel and to see the world and things like that, it's just usually not used in that context!! So if you want to use it outside of smutty content you can and should to help normalize that!

idk if one can use the word “lust” in a non-sexual way,,,, since the actual definition is “very strong sexual desire”
