Remus is madly in love with Sirius and knows he'd never betray James and Lily. That's why he and Andromeda Tonks work to save Sirius and prove him innocent. It's a slow-build mystery that takes advantage of JKR's plot holes, has an exciting rescue, and ends with some sexy reunion scenes.

We correct the record and tell you what REALLY happened after Sirius went to prison.

Azkaban Can't Keep Us Apart by @asunshinepuff (G, 1219)

Ultimately, the plan was simple in theory.

1. Break into Azkaban unnoticed.

2. Find Sirius’ cell and destroy the lock.

3. Avoid the Dementors.

4. Escape the prison in the middle of the sea.

5. And find a safe place to hide until proof of Sirius’ innocence is uncovered.

Executing this plan, however, is much more complicated.

This one is more of helping him escape before the aurors arrive:

Halloween, 1981. Remus finds Sirius before the aurors do and is forced to make a terrible choice.
