Bruce watched the man turn around and walk away. He forced his own control back into place carefully and hurried after Andie.

"Are you sure you know what you're doing?" Bruce hissed in her ear. "I can still call for back-up. I have the button, everyone'll know back at the Tower, they can be here like that." Bruce looked up at the office door and blew out a breath. "We don't know what he'll do. You should've brought Clint, maybe, or Peter. I just... This is insane."

"Are you sure this is legal?"

"If not I know a couple of brilliant lawyers that would be more than willing to help us out." Andie shrugged, looking over at him. "Don’t worry so much."

"I’m not risking it, Andie," Bruce said, trying to be kind and resolute at the same time. "Not with you. Not with anybody, but not with you. This is dangerous. I don’t think you’re grasping this like I want you to. I don’t feel like you do, it’s just… it’s a fact, and I…” Bruce trailed off when his heart monitor began beeping. He directed his attention to that and took a breath.

"Are you sure this is legal?"

"If not I know a couple of brilliant lawyers that would be more than willing to help us out." Andie shrugged, looking over at him. "Don’t worry so much."

Bio: 

Robert Bruce Banner was born to Dr. Brian Banner, an atomic physicist, and Rebecca Banner, a housewife. Bruce's DNA was mutated from birth - a product of his father's work with radiation - but there was no physical manifestation. Brian Banner was an alcoholic who hated his son and frequently abused both his son and his wife. One day, Brian murdered Rebecca, and himself ended up in a mental hospital. Bruce was raised by his aunt. He was an incredibly intelligent, introverted child who internalized all his pain and rage for years.

Bruce got his Ph.D. in Nuclear Physics from Caltech in 1994, and from there worked with various facilities. However, his fascination with the super soldier serum that transformed Steve Rogers would be his downfall; while testing a variant of the serum, Bruce was distracted by a young man who had wandered onto the testing site. In his rush to save the boy, Bruce was poisoned by his own experiment. Such intense radiation irradiated Bruce that any normal man would have died; but Bruce, already mutated, survived, and became two. On this day, the Hulk was born.

Bruce has fought many adversaries in his time, but he prefers not to think about them. Now, he drifts from place to place, but he really does like to be in New York City with the Avengers - but don't tell them that.

This blog is a sort-of twisted modern!au version of Bruce. It’s a bastardized Avengers, with aspects from the comic books thrown in. I basically mixed up my favorite forms of Bruce, aged him down a bit, and dragged him into this hellhole.

Bruce let Andie do the talking and tried his best to seem imposing and intimidating. He folded his arms across his chest, trying not to shift when the uncomfortable suit he was wearing itched at him. When the young man looked at him, he raised one eyebrow, though he was unsure of how it looked when his hair was actually combed back for a change. He just had to hope it looked intimidating and careless enough for the man to not want to test him.

"Are you sure this is legal?"

"If not I know a couple of brilliant lawyers that would be more than willing to help us out." Andie shrugged, looking over at him. "Don’t worry so much."

"I trust you," Bruce said, quietly. He leaned over to look at the paper over her shoulder, double-checking that she was right and that they did have the right place. "Do we just go in, or... What are we going for here? Surprise approach, or Tony Stark approach?"

"Are you sure this is legal?"

"If not I know a couple of brilliant lawyers that would be more than willing to help us out." Andie shrugged, looking over at him. "Don’t worry so much."

Bruce shifted, standing slightly behind Andie, letting her take the reins. He looked down at his wrist monitor, acting as though he was looking down at a watch. He looked over at the man standing in the doorway and let his control slip, just for a second, just enough for the man to see green flash through his eyes. 

"Are you sure this is legal?"
