why it’s alright to put shifting on a pedestal as someone who shifts regularly
The title is kind of misleading. It’s about two things maybe three. So I’ve been conducting an experiment with a new method. Because I like doing experiments to pass the time and I watched Somewhere in Time (1980) and really wanted to make it a method.

I see way too many people spending freetime on everything but shifting. I don’t think all of you really want to shift. I think some of you just like the community of shifters, scripting or the comfort in escaping to another reality. All of these things are healthy and fine. But falling more in love with the idea of shifting and fleshing out your scripts will not make you shift if you’re not already shifting consistently. It is okay to do both. You can flesh out a script completely and write as many scenarios as you want. But if in your subconscious mind you are associating shifting with some magical unattainable get away then it just pushes you back. It’s similar to how some people plan their dream vacation step by step and waste all their time waiting in lines and feeling overburdened. Just like with shifting if you spend all your time trying to script everything little thing and not actually trying to seriously shift. Very little things will happen. Even if you are trying or intending to shift every night, if in the back of your head you still think you need to perfect it before you shift. Or believe everything will go wrong, nothings going to change. But also by pushing perfection onto a reality. It is making more unrealistic for your logical mind. Really the only defining thing that holds people back is contradicting beliefs. You can do whatever you want and shift. But if deep down you either don’t want to shift and just like daydreaming, or you believe something you’re doing contradicts what you think will help you shift, you probably won’t. You don’t even have to try to seriously try to shift. So many people shift on accident. But from what I’ve observed is that the more people consume and become obsessed with scripting over time they stop shifting on accident.

Try new things, I beg of you. So if you have been trying to shift with a certain ideology and methods for months or years. Start considering unless it is giving you consistent shifts no matter how long they last. If you have shifted only one time over a long course of time. Then it’s time to flip your thinking and beliefs regarding shifting. Why not trying viewing shifting as an experiment with no strings attached. When I had trouble shifting, I decided that I would experiment. I started experimenting and logging what made shift the longest, the most frequently etc. I think being neutral to the whole matter helped as I was guided more by curiosity.
Onto the next matter. I watched Somewhere in Time (1980). It came on randomly on tv and I was interested because the beginning reminds me so much of shifting. So looking forward I went to read the book which apparently the novel based it off of. An Experiment with Time by J. W. Dunne. It was interesting but I found a lot of ramblings about strange dreams so it was kind of inconsequential. Then I read up on the hypnagogic state and decided to compare them. You can read a brief outline of my experiment here. It’s a brief outline of the methods, I did, a short log of its outcome and a guess. Usually when I do these I like to write short essays on the whole thing. But I still have to compare and contrast different variables on these methods. Both were successful for me. But I do want to test if the difference between time spent has anything to do with me being less attached to one desired reality over the other. So I’ll probably reverse the experiment to see if the time I spent changes at all. A lot of me being able to stay so long when I shift. Is I view consciousness as fluid and malleable. Which basically means I believe that I’m not tied to any specific reality for longer than I choose to. What did I notice is that the hypnagogic method resulted in shorter shifts and usually spontaneous returns. But that might be because it was such a different desired reality. Or maybe it was because I was so excited to try the Somewhere in Time Method. The method basically consists of recording a subliminal in your own voice affirming that you are in your desired reality. And it worked very quickly. My guess is that your own voice tricks your mind into believing it is your thoughts even if you’re asleep. But I definitely do want to test it out more.

I chose to test two different realities. My Omaticaya dr and my main dr. With the hypnagogic method, I tried using a subliminal without the affirmations audible, silence and then playing a playlist. Both yielded similar results but I noticed the Somewhere in Time method was accelerated in time it took to shift. But there are a lot of different things I want to test with it, does the effect of going to a familiar reality change anything, how does comfortability affect it….But it was all and all very interesting. The shift I did last night was shorter for about three weeks. And I didn’t do anything terribly interesting. It was spring and everyone was getting ready for Lent. And everyone was stuck at home because my father refused to get the rotten tree taken out by our railroad. So we couldn’t leave our estate. So it was just three weeks at home. The ice melted on the lake though so we broke the ice a lot and went ice fishing, so many seals also kept on coming up to our yards and stuff. For context, I live on a family compound with all my siblings and parents adjacent to Lake Baikal. So it’s not like anyone was bored and we all are very close. I remember there wasn’t too much to do except herding the sheep and cattle up the mountains, riding horses, swimming in the cold water, planting stuff and just hanging around. And there was so much noise from the construction. We live very far from Irkutsk so the only noise are the Huskies, the geese and the chickens most of the time. But that’s all I did really.
Happy shifting!
me watching that one bit in "the spider within": man i can imagine the reality shifters creating a new method outta that

You are gonna be the person who proves LOA is 1000% real, because you experienced it first hand.
You are gonna be the person who gets their desires the fastest.
You are gonna be the person who made it no matter how impossible it seemed. Shifting realities, revising the past, full physical appearance changes, nothing is beyond your power.
The only advice I can give you now is to remove the "gonna be" from those affirmations.
