Look, I'm Really Glad That The Trio Knows Their Stuff Going Into The Quest. They Knew Medusa, And That
look, I'm really glad that the trio knows their stuff going into the quest. they knew Medusa, and that probably saved their lives. they knew Ares because it wouldn't have made much sense to not know a major Olympian god. but the fact that they don't know a lot of things is the reason tlt was good. the tension and the stakes were so much higher because they had to scramble for survival in a short period of realisation, and that reflects the kind of world they will have to live in for the rest of their lives. in a some contexts, them knowing what they're dealing with works well, but for the Lotus Casino? Crusty? I know that all of them would have to be knowledgeable about Greek myths to survive but it happens immediately?? them learning to trust their instincts and each other comes out of a lot of the fights for survival they have when they have to figure out what they're dealing with after they're in the situation. the terror is important to the lives demigods lead. idk I'm just disappointed that they didn't do this well

Hades stalking through the length of his massive hall to greet his guests is the fruitiest fucking thing he's done, you can fight me on this
ok so I was absolutely right with Hades being sorta fruity. that outfit? ate and left no crumbs. "i admire the cut of your jib"? crazy. that fucking couch set in the palace? amazing. "i seldom cahoot"? lost my mind
THIS!!!! respect actor's boundaries!!!!!
ok this is gonna come off as a bit aggressive but i’m already so fucking sick of some sections of the fandom continuously talking about walker and leah “percabething” in that their every move is contextualised to percabeth, people crying about and celebrating their IN REAL LIFE interactions like we need to be sooooo careful with this coz this is just the start – it’s already escalating in some fandomspaces and i know exactly where this is headed because i have seen this kind of real life shipping slowly take shape and ruin the actual friendships of co-stars and i will not be encouraging this kind of nonsense in the least. no, walker and leah are NOT percabething. don’t make equivalences with their characters in such a way that you cannot look at a normal friendly interaction or a clip of banter between them without make an instant comparison to percabeth. like forget the whole romantic angle creepiness, it’s like yall won’t even let walker and leah be their own person 😭😭 yes they have characteristics of percy and annabeth but they’re living breathing humans who have their own uniqueness. pls pls pls be more mindful in how you discuss these children online because we can and we should stop the problem while it’s still taking root.
okay, thanks for reading this whole thing. love y'all. let’s do better for the cast!! 🖤
i know that Sally taught Percy a lot more about Greek myths in the show compared to the books but I still feel like we were robbed with the Crusty scene. i feel disappointed because it's one of my favourites from tlt
hermes said “being so close to someone you love, knowing neither of you has any choice but to keep hurting each other” and percy’s corresponding memory is him and sally at odds because sally needs to distance herself from percy and send him to private schools for his own safety because only she understand the true danger that looms over his head everytime, making him unintentionally feel unwanted in the process while percy doesn’t understand why his mom seems so desperate to send him away to fancy schools when all he wants is to stay by her side but because he doesn’t know, he doesn’t understand and so he inevitably speaks his mind aloud because he’s just a kid and sometimes the things he says hurt sally deeply because she’s a mother who never wants her child to feel anything but loved and secure–and so they’re in this vicious cycle where they hurt each other because they love each other so much and it’s not something toxic, but something so so painfully human, it’s the hurt of a mother burdened with foreknowledge and the hurt of a child trying to hold onto the one parent he has with all his might.
i will never stop crying about this.
