And yet when Carol, the woman who probably submitted herself to spousal rape many times in order to keep her husband away from their innocent daughter and who is moved to tears by so many things, starts to crack after realizing she’s caused the death of 18 (now 20?) people - including a mentally ill child - she is “weak” to some viewers?
