Hey if you're from the U.S and you care about Native kids & ICWA, The National Indian Child Welfare Association needs your help before September 17th 2024

Text SIGN PBAZHN to 50409 to send this letter to your US House Representative

Please support H.R. 9076 when it reaches the house floor. Native families deserve support from the federal government, especially when it comes to keeping Native children with Native families.

This bill includes critical provisions for tribes that receive funding under the Title IV-B child welfare programs, such as:

- Increasing funding for tribal agencies and courts.

- Reducing administrative burdens.

- Enhancing data collection on Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) cases in states.

Please sign and share, it takes about 30 seconds to use resist bot. Thank you!

Oh yes I do!!

BIG reason would be getting wet. You lose body heat VERY fast when you’re wet compared to when you’re dry, causing hypothermia, frostbite, and frostnip to become issues at higher temperatures than if you were dry. This also includes sweat, though to a lesser degree.

Improper cold protection would be another one- if your character isn’t wearing a jacket then they’ll be more vulnerable to the cold. This goes for just about every article of clothing.

Hypothermia can be caused by any situation that causes someone’s body to lose heat faster than it can produce it. Listed above are the two most common/expected reasons (at least based on my knowledge- but I have no medical background, I’m just a huge nerd. Make sure you double check all the info I’m giving you, cause even though I’m pretty sure I’m right you never know). However, depending on the setting and characters involved, you can get super creative with this!!

Hope that helps :)

Anyone got good reasons a character could get hypothermia?
