Happy Fanfic Writer Friday (#FFWF)! Do you outline your story before writing it? How far are you willing to stray from that outline?

For some reason I didn't see this until today so here is a late answer :)

Do I outline my story? Eh.. maybe. If I know that it is going to be a decent amount of chapters then yes, especially if I keep thinking of things to add to the plot to deepen it. However, if it is a one-shot or otherwise short little fic, I'll just write down the idea and maybe if dialogue or scenes come to me I'll jot those down too. If I do end up using an outline for anything though, I don't stray super far, just because everything that I want to write and am excited to write is already fleshed out/planned out. Happy Fanfic Writer Friday! What inspired your most recent fic?

Happy FFWF! (is there two Fs?)

My most recent fic (which I am still fleshing out) was actually inspired by a YA book I read a few years ago in a series called the Gallagher Series or something like that. I haven't read it in years but while I was writing out a few pieces of dialogue and ideas for the fic I kept thinking back to elements of the book in that series called Out of Sight, Out of Mind. It's a boring answer and until I figure out if I'm actually going through with this fic I don't want to divulge too much information. :)

chadwickboseman It is with immeasurable grief that we confirm the passing of Chadwick Boseman. 

Chadwick was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016, and battled with it these last 4 years as it progressed to stage IV. 

⁣A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all, and brought you many of the films you have come to love so much. From Marshall to Da 5 Bloods, August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and several more, all were filmed during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy. ⁣⁣

It was the honor of his career to bring King T’Challa to life in Black Panther. ⁣He died in his home, with his wife and family by his side. ⁣

The family thanks you for your love and prayers, and asks that you continue to respect their privacy during this difficult time. ⁣⁣
