I just had a thought…. Maybe Mark wasn’t necessarily just like “oh it’s Gordo” on Marks shirt because at THAT point, he would have had no idea that Marty had passed and Gordo took over the shop.

So instead of like “aww omg you smell like Gordo” it’s more of a “Gordo took over it and made it his 🥺” because Mark might be one of the only people who knows how much Gordo loves cars. (Since Thomas is lowkey a dick)

Me just now realizing Mark was probably even more okay with the slightly slow young boy talking to him because he smells like his ex mate 🫣

Also not to mention he was probably only at the diner to watch out the window and see if he could spot him inside the shop. 🫣🫣🫣

One Year of Zack: Day Six

Zack would still take strolls with Casey at night, in the mornings, in between mornings. He’d take her by the hand and lead her into the green hedge maze or on the stone path past all the flowers, he’d kiss her hand and tell her how much he loved her. 

One Year of Zack: Day Eight

He took her to the place they first met, the staircase that he counted over again, nervously, each step, once and over again. His heart beating so fast he felt like he might throw up.

Okay but imagine a random off day, whether it be a holiday or a Sunday Gordos off and the days he’s off he lets himself sleep in (it’s really the latest is like 9 probs) and he wakes up, and this is after they live together. And Marks awake and he’s just watching him and Gordos like “dude that’s freaky don’t do that i will still harm you.” But that changes nothing on Marks face. He’s still smiling so eventually Gordo’s like “okay WHAT.”

And Mark just all shy and shrug and is like “you smell like me.”

And Gordo’s like “get out of the bed right now.” But he doesn’t mean it and Mark knows it and hed just wrap his arms around him, shoving his nose in his neck saying,

“Underneath it’s still dirt and leaves and rain but on top it’s me; and mine; and us.”

And Gordo’s so content with the touching but he fights back for a minute like “you and your possessiveness, overgrown dog, stop sniffing me like I’m your dinner.” But then he just stops and relaxes cause truth is he doesn’t want to fight Marks strength.
