I Hate It When People Ask Whats The Stupidest Thing Youve Ever Done? Like. Awfully Bold Of You To Assume

i hate it when people ask “what’s the stupidest thing you’ve ever done?” like. awfully bold of you to assume i’ve reached peak dumbass.

opinion on connor in detroit: become human

let’s get real here, throw out all fangirling moments about how cute connor is, how hot he is in glasses, but let’s face the truth here

connor has to endure the most pain in the whole game, why? here are my reasons: 

connor is restricted on his actions and decisions due to amanda, he is afraid to feel or even attempt to feel in front of anyone (he gets defensive everytime someone assumes he’s a deviant)

connor needs to convince to himself that he is a machine no matter what his decisions and actions are (his meaning of “self test regularly” is amanda pressuring him to stay as a machine, any attempts to care about hank in general will decreases his relationship with amanda)

connor’s top priority is always his missions being successful (or he disappoints amanda)

due to connor going down the machine path, he risks losing the lives of others (ex: hank, chloe, traci) all for the sake of taking down markus/jericho itself and he is still unable to feel sorry for the actions

even after completing his missions and successfully taken down the deviants, he is still being replaced by the RX900 version of Connor himself

connor would have to sacrifice himself so he wouldn’t let cyberlife/amanda secretly controlling the leader of jericho/deviants

connor is able to die the most times in the game, physically (that explains itself), connor’s life in general isn’t considered a valuable asset out of all the characters due to the reason that he is able to come back alive after each deaths (honestly, i’d say markus/kara would’ve been a more unique model than connor can ever be, there can only be one markus who has been through the pain of being betrayed, ordered around, losing carl and is willing to lead jericho; there will only be one kara who will go through extreme extends to protect alice at any cost; connor? he can just die and come back, gets his memories/conciousness transfered to another new connor android body)

overall, connor has to deal with all the shit, it’s not just the fact that he has to choose between staying as a machine or become a deviant, he’s literally being pushed around between both and let’s admit it, the one causing the most pain deep inside for him is staying as the path of being a machine, all he can do is watch people die around him and he has to stand his ground so he doesn’t betray amanda.

the last scene of hank hugging connor melts my heart because after all the things connor has gone through, he can finally rest, in peace, with his deviancy and human emotions and express it with/towards hank.
