Quick question for frequent fic writers:

HOW THE HELL DO YOU STAY WRITING FOR SO LONG? is it an endurance thing? Is it a passion thing? I have so many ideas for my abandoned fic again. I'm finally writing another chapter and really want to finish it but when I write how I want to I don't want it to drag on or be too repetitive. Any advice?

Bowser and Luigi are dating but Luigi gets the Mr L-ification and turns into an absolute bastard but Bowser insists on keeping him out of trouble at the castle and looking after him despite Mr L being a complete dick bcus he loves Luigi. One day Bowser Jr tries to have a convo with Mr L and calls him papa cus he doesn’t understand that Mr L isn’t Luigi - Mr L has a go at Jr and says some really hurtful shit that makes him cry. When Bowser finds out he’s absolutely furious and at the end of his tether with how Mr L’s attitude has been and with being stressed out about missing his bf. He has an argument with Mr L about what happened - he says something else about Jr that makes Bowser completely lose his shit. Bowser throws Mr L into the wall and leaves a nasty scar across his face with his claws and he’s knocked out. Bowser is terrified and disgusted with himself that he just hurt his bf like that cus when Mr L is knocked out all he can see is Luigi’s unconscious body and he has a freaking breaking down after getting him to emergency care. Afterwards Mr L taunts him with the fact he left an awful scar on his bfs face and Bowser feels awful about it even after the whole debacle is over and Luigi insists everything is okay and that he forgives him but bowser can’t forgive himself.
