Many of us are disappointed in the driver's comments regarding the Horner sexual harassment case, myself included. With the exception of Lewis, every single driver has essentially said 'oh well, i don't care, I'm just here to race' and sounded ignorant at best and downright misogynistic at worst (the worst offenders have to be Checo and Ricciardo imho).

It's pretty likely the drivers were told what they had to say by their PR teams and stay out of what is happening as much as possible- however, the PR teams just made them sound idiotic. The drivers have a social responsibility as public figures to call out sexual harassment, especially when they race with F1 academy and many women also look up to these men.

Sadly, the vast majority of men are at least covertly misogynistic due to the patriarchal system where sexism is excused and sometimes even encouraged, and some of which don't even realise that they are. This does not mean that men can be excused for their shitty misogynistic behaviour however. They need to be held accountable, educate themselves and do better. This does not mean you can't support who you want but bear in mind a rich, privileged man will almost always harbour discriminatory thoughts and opinions.
