Illustration I Started Forever Ago Of My Sara Ryder From Andromeda. Was Finally Able To Finish It Since

Illustration I started forever ago of my Sara Ryder from Andromeda. Was finally able to finish it since being done with school.
Inspired by Havarl, one of my favorite new planets from the game, and the ending credits song “Under Stars” by Aurora.

Progress shot for my kinetic type project. Definitely taking a humorous turn with the quotes. Inspired by an certain early South Park episode.
I’m quickly discovering null objects are my friend, and no longer a bane to my existence, like they were 6 months ago when I had to animate a walk cycle for my animation class.
I’m really just trying to have some fun with this last project, but it’s hard to tear away from nitpicky design choices, like dividing the bg picture into 2 layers to make it more dimensional and making the text fade out at strategic points. Or making the text pop up in timing with the music, which holy crap is that annoying to get that just right. But so far so good. I’m excited to get into some other effects for the text in the latter part of the video.
Started playing this game over the weekend. I have no smart sounding words at the ready to say how beautiful and awesome I think it looks.
The environments are huge, realistic, and super dynamic. It’s awesome to play an RPG, and when I cross through inhabited areas, seeing the NPCs have actual lives. Walking down the roads, having their own conversations, working, drinking, fighting, etc. The gameplay is fun, there’s so much still to discover and see. I love when you’re still in the early parts of a game, and you still have all of this cool shit to look forward to.
