I think we, as a general community, need to start taking this little moment more seriously.

This, right here? This is asking for consent. It’s a legal necessity, yes, but it is also you, the reader, actively consenting to see adult content; and in doing so, saying that you are of an age to see it, and that you’re emotionally capable of handling it.

in some cases y'all even lurk in tags specifically not meant for you just to find shit you disagree with and attack the poster over. fandom is not just for you. fandom is also for the people who don't like the same characters or ships you do, who maybe only like one character out of the bunch.

fandom is not a crusade you go on to weed out 'the bad eggs'. it's not for you to gatekeep just because you disagree. it's not your job to bully people with different opinions in hopes they stop having those opinions.
