Yes, Yes, Yes!

Yes, yes, yes!

In TLJ, the first scene between Kylo and Snoke emphasizes that Snoke only values Kylo for his heritage, not for who he is

The final scene between Kylo and Rey emphasizes that Kylo values Rey for who she is, not her heritage

Kylo may have said it in the most assbackwards Mr-Darcy-level-idiotic way possible, but don’t you dare tell me that was him trying to manipulate or abuse her. That boy has been told for years that he wouldn’t matter if not for his grandfather, and now, in front of his abuser’s dead body, he’s affirming that someone else matters to him in a way he never mattered to his abuser.

Have any of you stood next to some of these vehicles? I have stood next to tractor trailers and I would need a boost if I wanted to get on the bed of a logging truck and I’m 5’4”.

Can’t speak for the construction vehicles but I bet you the treads can be really high depending on the size and need.

Zombie apocalypses are curiously lacking a large array of common equipment that could neatly control the situation.

“But we can’t build walls to contain them!”

Moves by truck, train or boat. Ridiculously common. And see those holes on the bottom? Mobile by forklift. Also, HEAVY, even when empty they’re in the tons. If you had some warning you could string these things end to end for miles and human bodies can’t move them. Plus they’re nice and wide so you can comfortably walk on top of them for patrols.

“But we don’t have easy ways to kill them!”

Put the shotgun down you fucking idiot.

No tires to pop. Heavy and slow but inevitable. Climbing required to enter and thus, relatively zombie proof, especially if you spend like an hour to protect the glass.

A lot of large farming equipment can destroy cars.

Want to guess what it’d do to a decaying human body? It’s not pretty.

Now I know what you’re thinking. Merely flattening them with common construction equipment or farming gear isn’t enough.

How about a

tree trimmer that can mulch a tree top to bottom in nothing flat?

OM NOM NOM NOM.

“But we need ways to move a lot of people that zombies can’t stop!”

BEEP BEEP MOTHERFUCKER. Deer don’t have a chance and neither does a zombie.

“But that’s not good enough!”

NOW it’s time to call our friend the military because this ride stops for no one.

Do I need to keep going or is it clear the movies are bullshit yet? Seriously a dozen prepared people with heavy equipment licenses could clear an entire street of zombies AND powerwash it after.

Eight Things You Should Know About Tolkien's Thranduil

Okay, you’ve seen the Hobbit movies but you just can’t get into the book.  Or, you read the book years ago and you don’t remember every detail.  I’m here to help.

1. Thranduil did not refuse to help the Dwarves when Smaug attacked.  We don’t know what he did - Tolkien never wrote anything about it.  Jackson’s preamble is complete fabrication.

2. Thranduil did not consider the Silvan Elves to be ‘lesser’ Elves:

Oropher [his father] had come among them with only a handful of Sindar, and they were soon merged with the Silvan Elves, adopting their language and taking names of Silvan form and style… . They wished indeed to become Silvan folk and to return, as they said, to the simple life natural to the Elves before the invitation of the Valar had disturbed it. (Unfinished Tales, ‘The History of Galadriel and Celeborn’ p 249)

3. Thranduil did not aid the Men of Esgaroth out of self-interest:

But the king, when he received the prayers of Bard, had pity, for he was the lord of a good and kindly people; so turning his march, which had at first been direct towards the Mountain, he hastened now down the river to the Long Lake. (The Hobbit, ‘Fire and Water’ p 255)

My Mom REFUSED to upgrade for YEARS. She finally gave in when she couldn’t buy anything on VHS at any store and bought a DVD Player and started the task of buying what she wanted on DVD

REBLOG if you are old enough to remember what a VCR is.
