Warnings: this is going to be a multi part series and it's going to be angsty cause I am in my feels. Female reader, Padmé and Anakin were together but had a healthy break up, Jedi reader so forbidden love
This story takes plays in Clone Wars yet many events have been changed (like the meeting of Ashoka and Anakin... don't worry the sibling energy is still there.)
series masterlist

Months go by. And it feels like I am a standing force against the passing of time and the constant outbursts of the war. I watch from the sidelines as Ashoka becomes a prodigy in the care of Ani, even when she constantly challenges him and gets on his nerves. Soon the first joint mission comes and we are headed towards another planet that is destroyed by the war and its inhabitants are barely holding on to life. Slowly adding to the casualties more people and their home planets.
The first makeshift hospital we visit is full of haunted faces, open wounds and death. Families are gathered together around their lost members as grief surrounds them. A heavy tension clouds the air and it weighs down on you until it suffocates you because you are not able to even breathe from the intense emotion that is prominent in every possible way. Anakin heads towards the chief of the clan intending to have a "friendly" interrogation after he drew the shortest straw in the small fighter jet that carried us here.
And so Ashoka and I attend to the wounded, trying to match minor wounds the best we can and bring solace to those whose wounds are fatal and they won't make it probably until sunrise. We use the Force to ease their pain and let them enjoy their last moments with their families the best they can. Hours pass like this until my eyes fall on a small boy. He has dirty blond hair and his face is covered in dirt, the only place on his face that seems clean is the trail his tears have left behind as red-rimmed puffy eyes meet my gaze.
He looks scared to death. He looks like what small Ani looked like.
I stalk closer to him and sit next to his cot as I introduce myself to him. He stares at me intensely, his gaze is full of mistrust as he waits for my next move. I have long learned that patience is a virtue and it is much needed in situations like this.
"I'm Jack" he croaks out after a while since I seemed to have passed some kind of evaluation. I simply smile at him.
And ask him "What happened to you, Jack?"
"It's not pretty."
"I think I can handle that," I whisper to him as I try to maintain the facade of calmness on my face. He draws his blanket to the side revealing… a missing leg. My eyes slightly widen but I do not let myself show any other type of emotion. I inspected the wound and it seemed like someone knew that they needed to burn the infected and stitch the remaining flesh. And yet Jack won't make it, he may have three hours tops as the infection spreads fast and it will soon reach his heart.
"I will die, won't I? The doctors say that in a few hours, I will be fine but I know they are lying. Please tell me the truth."
"I'm sorry," I say as a tear slips out.
"Can you do me a favour? "
"Of course. Anything you want."
"Can I see the stars once more?"
I simply nod not being able to use my voice for fear of it breaking, the way my heart breaks into a million pieces for this small kid who never did anything wrong besides existing. My eyes scan the room. No one is paying attention to us. Yet I cloak us as I carry him outside in my arm, perching him to my hip as I head towards the tallest place I can find in a close distance. I sit down and place him in my lap, keeping him close, drawing the physical pain from him inflicting it on myself. And we watch the stars. They look different from the way they look back at the Temple but they are still as breathtaking.
I stay unmoving for as long he is with me, providing silent comfort until he takes his last rasping breath whispering "Thank you. Mama was right. Jedis are angels."
My head is spinning and I try to maintain my composure as I carry him back to the hospital, only this time I head towards the wing where the sadly departed inhabit. I place him as gently as possible down and cover him with a white sheet. I spin on my heels. I work and move on autopilot, as my feet carry me outside in the most private place I can find. Only then do I break apart, only then do I let my sadness consume me.
My breathing is ragged as silent sobs escape me. My shoulders shake quietly. At some point arms wrap around me, they are gentle despite their hard and strong nature. They hold me tight as they guide me. Our chests are now pressed together. The heels of my palms dig harshly into my eyes trying to stop the slipping tears. He just holds me tight and I have lost any sense of the passing time until I calm down. He rubs comforting circles on my back and waits until my breathing turns normal and syncs with his from the heavy sobs that escape me. He waits until my heartbeat syncs with his.
Once my head clears I find my face buried in a shoulder. A very comforting and sturdy shoulder and then the overwhelming scent of him consumes me. Anakin, of course, it's him. And so I just hug him even tighter, not letting go as his hand buries in my hair and slightly massages my scalp. And so we stay like that until we have to go back to the wounded, back to the reality of war. But for a second I let myself bask in his impossibly close presence. We stay quiet as I finally turn to face him and he smiles at me, the one that can make my insides flame and he kisses my forehead before resting his forehead against mine as he gazes into my eyes in, what some might describe, a loving way and rubs my cheeks with his thumbs soothing the ache in me.
“Sometimes I wish we could be like this forever. I wish for more.” He whispers to me.
“Ani don't say that.”
“You know it's true. We both want it of that I am certain.”
“It's forbidden. You know we can't.”
“I don't give a damn about the Code.”
My answer is cut off by an explosion. We quickly get to our feet trying to locate the source of the now raging fire. The only remaining place that could have been targeted would be…. No, it can't be. I will myself to run faster and I skip into a halt as I face a flaming hell. Screams sound as every person inside the medical camp becomes ashes.
Ashoka is still inside, is my only thought as I run into the flames trying to locate her. Anakin tries to grab my hand to stop me but he is too late and he chases after me yet to no avail as the entrance collapses in front of him. Caging him outside and the rest of us to our doom. He sits there panicking as one phrase loops in his mind. Please no, please.
After what must have seemed like an eternity we emerge, looking like hell ourselves, our faces are covered to ashes and our robes frizzle with burning flames. But to him, we must look like miracles as he races towards us and he helps us to a safe distance.
He does something that surprises the life out of his young Padawan. He lets his guard down for the first time as he hugs us and forces all of us to collapse to the ground.
“Don't do that ever again” he whispers “You scared me to death. I don't think I can do this without you.”
A new sense of balance engulfed us as we headed back to the Temple bearing the devastating news of no survivors.

WARNINGS: sorry this is quite small , so they do have a reunion but I have kind of left their relationship as it was. Angry reader, lovestruck Five. Reader can read minds and direct thoughts...
part 1, part 3

He was laying in stacks of hay. His mind was spinning and a memory resurfaced behind his eyes.
Soft fingers trailed his arms. Deep watchful eyes stared back at him and their foreheads touched. The only thing that covered them was a light gray sheet. His arms were tightly wound around her, his hands either buried in her hair or trailing the arch of her back. They were talking about everything and nothing. She could talk his ears off and he wouldn't care. The sun rays warmed their skins and Five watched as the sunlight adored his wife.
The memory was gone as fast as it appeared to him. The happiness that flowed through his veins left a sour taste in his body. He could hear his siblings arguing around him. He could feel the blood staining his hands hours later after he fled the commission… again. Only this time he took the board with him.
Hoards of assassins appeared in front of the small shed they hid, trying to form some kind of plan. Was she out there?
His hands shook as he tried to keep up his cold uninterested facade. Trying to seem distant when in reality he was frightened to his core. The Handler was standing opposite of him. Sporting that creepy, horrible smile that put him on edge. Next to her is standing Lila, Diego's crazy friend from the asylum. And on the other side, a young woman sat kneeling on the ground. Her hair was cut short just above her shoulders, not in their usual length. Her cheeks were hollow and her eyes red, hunted in a faraway look. His wife, his beautiful, strong wife, sat with her hands shackled barely sparing him a glance.
“I believe that you remember her, Five.”
Diego looked at him dazzled, trying to place the pieces of the puzzle together. But Five only had eyes for her.
“She hasn't been of any use to us.”
Her words barely registered to him. She looked broken and yet strong. She held her head high, proudly showing the bruises that adorned her beautiful face. He could feel his heart shatter in his chest because somewhere deep down he knew that he was the reason for the bruises, of the broken look in her eyes. He wanted to destroy the Handler and anyone else who dared to lay a finger on her. Don't.
Her soft voice echoed in his head. She had read his thoughts and probably anyone else's thoughts in the vicinity. Her plan formed into his head and they fell into their familiar rhythm. But something was different. Nothing would be the same. Because even if by law she was his and him hers…. he had lost her, simply as that. Rather was when Vanya showed she was glowing all around and everyone was stunned. But not her, she took the opportunity and struck the Handler behind the neck while rushing towards him and his brother. He worked quickly on her bindings, setting her free. She smiled at him and the breath was cleaned out of him.
That was when she slapped him.
“What the hell?”
She quickly grabbed rocks close to her and started throwing them at him.
“Would you stop? I swear to God-”
“You pretentious fuck. How could you? You, hypocrite. Why must you always plague me?”
“I'm sorry. Please just-”
“He is sorry, he says. Do you ever mean what comes out of your atrocious mouth?”
“Please, sweetheart. Can you -”
“What was that? Huh? You have the audacity to talk to me? After everything you have done?”
Five felt a weird mix of love and irritation. He had missed her. And her yelling at him was a familiar scene. There was something comforting to it, besides the rocks that he dogged. He could hear the faint sound of his brother laughing somewhere behind him as he watched the presumable love of Five's life, giving him an earful.
Suddenly, everything was put to a stop as a scream sounded, and they ran towards the barn, where Lila was fighting with his siblings. And just as he was about to put an end to it, she grabbed the black lathered briefcase, their one way out of this hellhole, and disappeared into a vibrant bright blue light. He quickly grabbed hold of each of his family, and while they argued around him, he drew on his powers, reading himself and the others along him into another time jump. He looked at his wife's face and her eyes and found the remaining strength he needed to gather. Her terrified look was the last thing he saw as blinding light engulfed them. Everything could go wrong, but as long as he was by his side, he felt invincible.

My lips. Your lips. Apocalypse.
Warnings: angst, smut
part 1

A whole eternity seems to pass instead of mere hours, until he wakes up. He looks all around him, bleary-eyed. His eyes land on me and the gun I am holding and naturally he panics trying to move to cover himself up only to notice that his hands are tied to the bed.
"You know." He says it as a statement and not as a question. I simply nod, unable to frame my thoughts. "Are you going to turn me in?" He asks in a scared voice.
Thing is that Hydes are manipulative and completely controlled by their urges and yet… all I see is Tyler. My Tyler. So I nod negative. "Will you let me go? What are you going to do to me?"
"I don't know." I whisper." I have been sitting here for over three hours trying to find a solution but I am still empty-handed."
I hear the front door shut loudly and after that.
"Tyler, what did I say about taking out the trash."
I quickly unlock his handcuffs and quickly get out of the window running at full speed into the forest, until my lungs give out. Supporting myself in a tree bark as I take deep breaths. That's when I feel a hard chest press me to the tree, gluing my front and turning my head to the side. My breaths are uneven and panicky, yet I still pick up his scent, coffee with a smidge of his cologne.
"How-"
"I run fast. Now I want you to stay still and listen. Can you do that for me?" He whispers in my ear, as his breath fans my upper neck. I try to push backwards and free myself. That's when I feel something hard pressing in my backside and my cheeks flame. He presses me harder and I whine in protest." What did I just say huh? Do you see what you are doing to me?" My frantic beating heart seems to be trying to escape my ribcage.
A part of me rebels at that, Tyler wants me. But the more sensible part of me is scared out of his mind because as I let my mind slip into his, turning my eyes into a deep midnight blue, I see everything Ms Thornhill and everything she has done to him. So I make a fast decision in a slip of a second.
As I turn my head towards him as much as possible and mutter " Do something about it then."
He manhandles me, spinning me so to face him. Attacking my lips and tearing apart my shirt, exposing my bra-covered chest. His head dips down sucking mouthfuls of my neck and my chest and then somehow locating my nipples, wetting the thin material of my bra to pinpoint them and then sucking them, creating an amazing friction. My eyes well up as he slowly draws my bra straps down my arms, and attacks my nipples once again, paying them a special tribute, sucking licking and lightly biting them, being encouraged by my breathy moans.
I grab the hem of his t-shirt and feel up his strongly defined pecs, his midriff and then the v between his hips. Eager to see the rest of him. He chuckles and unbuttons my pants, letting them drop to my feet. He waits until I step out of them and grabs my thighs, easily lifting me up as my legs wrap around his waist. He lowers his pants and boxers and grabs my panties by the waistline. He draws them up slightly until they are snug against my entrance and then in one quick motion he tears them to shreds.
He grabs the head of his cock, running his finger over his tip and guides it towards my center. He looks me dead in the eyes and enters me in one swift motion. My tears finally spring free as I gasp at the feeling of him. I am filled to the brim, and despite the pain it feels amazing. He quickly starts moving, snapping his hips fast and hard. The force of his movements is so much that my back is moving up and down the tree bark, and it surely leaves red marks in its wake.
My hands latch to his shoulders, keeping him impossibly close, and he grabs handfuls of my ass, using it as leverage to bounce my on his cock. My moans are loud and borderline pornographic as he hits all the right spots. Before I know it my stomach contracts and my pussy tightens around him, resulting in the curses that fly out of his mouth. I am so close, and he knows it. I am ready to let go as I feel a sharp pain in my ass cheek.
"You cum when I say so. Understand princess?" He punctuates the question with a couple of spanks and I squeal in delight as my back arches and my tits land in the front of his face. He takes full advantage of that, wrapping his lips around one of my nipples once more.
"Tyler please." I sob. His answering chuckles are muffled by my breast. His thrusts soon after turn sloppy and lose their rhythm.
"Let go for me" he whispered into my skin and that is exactly what I do. I see stars under my eyelids. And pant as his forehead rests against my own. I slowly regain my senses and most importantly my composure, as I open my eyes and find his loving stare and giddy smile. I feel my heart tore open as tears run down my face and collect in my chin. His expression turns into a confused one as he sees my tears and asks. "What's wrong princess?"
"I am sorry Tyler. I love you." I say as my eyes turn once again midnight blue. I slowly collect his memories, those that include Thornhill, those that include me and turn them into ash. I make him forget and instead plant the idea of the High-strung academy, the one that accepts mythical creatures as students, the one he will be safe. His body slowly sags against mine as he loses his sense while his brain rebuts. My feet fall to the ground, they are weak but they still hold up my weight. I dressed us up and I let him rest against the tree. That beautiful mahogany tree.
My torn shirt does little to protect me from the cold weather, but I pay no attention to it. I walk fast, with a purpose as I find my phone in my pocket and I dial a number. I hear it ring a couple of times before I hear an answer.
"Hello this is the Jerico police department. What is your emergency?"
"I found a boy in the woods please. Come quickly."
"Alright ma'am tell me exactly were you -"
I cut the line short and hide behind some bushes.
He is still visible from here. The police cars soon arrive and find him. Their Sheriff's son, he is safe. That's what matters. I wait until they disappear, only then do I allow myself to break in tears. Only then do I realize that I lost him forever.

Warnings: this is going to be a multi part series and it's going to be angsty cause I am in my feels. Female reader, Padmé and Anakin were together but had a healthy break up, Jedi reader so forbidden love

series masterlist

No one of us talked about what the council started to call an incident. More missions come yet there is not a single one where we are together. So many things are left unsaid as we circle each other the war weighting our shoulders. Anakin climbs in everyone's eyes, he claims praises as if they are a polite exchange. And I am quickly forgotten, overshadowed by his brightness.
Part of me is proud of his achievements. What he has done is remarkable but still, I am the one no matter how hard I work, or how many battles I have won, I am still pushed to the side. Anger simmers in me and the only way to control it is through meditation. Letting myself get lost in the Force and my thoughts.
“Normal it is to feel this way.” A voice sounds in my head and I peek through my eyes finding Master Yoda opposite. “Control this feeling you must. A good fighter your friend is. Smarter, not. Strategical also not. Wrong is the council about you. Stronger he is. More favored by the Force. But you… our saviour you will be. Not him. Seen it, I have.”
“Master… I keep having these dreams. Of destruction and pain is this all we are going to be? Is this what we are trained for?”
“Peacekeepers Jedis are. In war we are, we do what we must. Protect we must. So fight we must.”
“I am tired of fighting.”
“At it you are good.” I chuckle at his words as I see a teasing smile on his face. “When first met you I have. My Padawan I asked you to be. No said the council. She is more powerful, with you she will be indestructible. Same with your dear friend. More than I hoped you turned out to be. Hope you must have. Your purpose soon will find.” He says as he leaves the room. Not a second letter he re-enters dropping a letter in my lap. Information about a new mission with… about time.
I go to my room and change out of my robes to one of my armours. And then head towards the jets. I find Anakin leaning against his favorite one, the one he calls the unbeatable lion. … men.
“Took you long enough.” He called out as I approached him. He frowns as I brush past him and his comment heading straight to the cockpit reading the jet for take off. We both occupy our usual seats as we jump into hyperspace. The travel is short and enveloped in a strange, restless silence as if one of us is a ticking bomb ready to explode. We head to the now sprang battlefield with no backup.
He turns to me right as we leave hyperspeed. We quickly land and I spring to my feet, reading myself for the upcoming battle.
Right as we exit our jet we are greeted by explosions and gunfire. And so we both throw ourselves to the battlefield. We let muscle memory take control of us. Our lightsabers seem to fly between the broids, decapitating them and destroying them. We don't let our minds wander to the other and how they are holding up, trusting each other completely. We soon reach the centre point of the battlefield.
A huge pillar towers in front of us and a bazillion of druids guard it as others try to climb it, trying to reach… no. I jump behind a random boulder and Anakin quickly follows.
“I have a plan.”
“I think we should…”
We both say and we stare at the other waiting to continue. He is impossibly close once again, his hair is a wild mess, and his body seems to vibrate with energy. He is too reckless, he is too merciless. So I don't let him continue his thought process as I bolt and race towards the droids. I drop down to my knees and slide underneath them, swinging my armed arms in a wide ark. Cutting off the mechanical legs and the pillar letting it fall on top of them.
Dust covers my vision. My ears ring from the loud bang of the now-fallen pillar. My mind is hazy as much and through the fog, a figure appears; he deflects every single shot that is thrown his way, his saber dancing in his hands as his movements are filled with precision, purpose and wild anger. For a small moment, his blade turns from its vibrant electric blue to deep bloodshot red. At the next moment, it is gone, back to its original colour.
I ignite my sabers as I force myself back to the raging battle. Our bodies move in sync as our backsides are pressed together. And so the fun begins and it doesn't last long as we find ourselves in a big rocky field, covered with dismembered droids. We turned towards each other, panting and wild smiles adorning our faces.
We stare at each other for what seems like forever, breathing hard. But the moment is ruined by a beeping sound. It comes from a small device close to me and I crouch near it, studying it. Anakin is right behind me. His ragged breathing hits the back of my neck as he reaches his hand over me to grab it. He examines it shortly while turning it over his long fingers and I stare at him. Hoping the mechanic in him will appear as it always does, hoping to be given the chance to stare at him while he gets lost in something he loves filling my head with filthy thoughts. Like how he can use those long fingers on me.
C3PO approaches complaining about the “mess” we made and we both chuckle at his antics.
“Masters I am afraid we have to leave. We are needed at the Temple. And it sounded urgent.”
“So that we shall do. Thank you, C3PO.” Anakin says to his beloved droid.
And so we head back home. I stare at my reflection in the glass of the jet as my mind replays the image of Anakin wielding a red lightsaber. Was it simply a trip of the eyes or was it a vision?
“Have I done something? Why are you not talking to me? You seem distant and I… kind of miss you as of late.” He whispers, his voice easily lost under the sound of the burning engines.
“No Ani, I am not angry with you. I just needed time to sort and clear out my thoughts.”
“And? What is it that is bothering you? Because I can tell you what is bothering me. It's you. You are changing. It is as if you are going backwards. Locking yourself away from others, away from me. Today I feared losing you, both mentally and physically. I am lost without you. I am nothing without you.”
“That's not true.”
“It is. It is like I can not breathe, I can not function when you are not near. Everyone thinks that I am this great fighter, the Chosen One back you are the one that shows me the way. Like a really grumpy and snarky firefly. Brooding all the time.”
“Ok-”
“... and really angry as if you are a, what is it called, that … that animal that seems to be angry all the time, that pending with the huge downturned eyebrows…”
“Alm right enough-”
“And also so mean…”
“Watch your words Skywalker.”
“I love you.” The words stun me and all the previous banter is gone.
“Anakin-”
“I never got to finish what I meant to say. I know we are not allowed to feel this way and I think you are not ready to say so. But all I want, all I think about is kissing you, sleeping with you, having fun with you, fucking you.” I draw a sharp breath at the last words and his eyes darken more, as they are now filled with lust. He grabs my thighs, manhandling me to his front as he lets me rest on his lap. He looks at me through half lidded eyes and he lets his nose move at the side of mine, tracing invisible paths.
“I want to have you underneath me. Making you a withering, whining mess, stuffed to the hilt full of our releases. I want your body to be my canvas letting me fill it with kisses, hickeys and bite marks along with bruises.” My eyes flutter close as he brags his nose at the side of my neck. “I want to fuck you from the back as I have your hair in my fist, spanking that ass of yours. I want to have you spread out for me as I fuck your brains out. I want to taste you and suck your breasts. I want to make you mine.” He now says against my lips as he finally slams them against mine. The kiss is short but full of passion and we gaze at each other as we break apart.
“Don't look like a penguin” I say to him and he chuckles, mumbling under his breath. “I miss the days we were bickering and having fun. I miss you. I miss the way we were.”
“I miss it too. But it's coming back. I can see it, trouble. Our story isn't going to be like that, I promise I won't let it.”

WARNINGS: this is quite angsty...no actual smut happens just a tiny scene. Also I messes around with some scenes so I feel like it doesn't follow the storyline in the series... that's about it... (should a do a part 2?) part 2 here, part 3

He was nursing a long drink of whiskey on ice as he stared at the blank wall. The year was 1963, and he was currently sitting on a lousy couch in Dallas. The apocalypse was going to take place once again mere days away. He felt bone tired, no one around him understood the stakes and the pressure he was under. He got out of his jacket a black and white photo. A young woman in her early twenties had a huge smile plastered on her face, her head was slightly cocked to the side and loose hair from the messy bun that rested at the top of her head framed her beautiful face. She seemed radiant, her eyes were crinkled from her smile and she seemed like a goddess to him. A piece of heaven that he left behind.
“Who's that?” Klaus whispered in his ear and Five jumped from the sudden sound and he glared at his brother. Out of all his siblings, Klaus was the only one who would understand him. “She is beautiful.”
“She is my wife.” Five said quietly. His voice was soft and colored in an emotion that Klaus couldn't recognize.
“Your what?”
“Are you deaf? I said she is my wife, or at least she was.”
“What happened?”
Five had been at the Commission for several years. After a failed experiment he had turned back to his twenty-year-old self. He had heard whispers of the Scarlet Angel all around him, everyone seemed to talk about his rival, especially in his presence. It was supposed to be the deadliest assassin of the Institution besides him. One gray day he was called into the Handlers office. That was when he saw her for the first time. A tall woman was seated on a chair, her beautiful face turned towards him as he entered the room. Five had never been one to find in someone's physical beauty but at the moment their eyes met he could swear that his heart skipped a beat.
Their first assignment together had been such a success, that they were stuck together permanently. Throughout the following years, Five found himself falling for her harder every day, with every word she said, with every laugh she caused from him, the way she always had his back and defended him whether she agreed with his actions or not. Their fights were the best thing that ever happened to him, she always found ways to leave him speechless, with her smart comebacks, the way she was animated when she got angry, her hands flew around her, her face got angry red and her hair bounced with her movements. He had never seen someone look so exquisite when they were yelling at him. She made him feel alive, adrenaline coursed in his veins. She always got the better of him. She was so… infuriating. On one of those occasions he finally had enough.
He grabbed her face and smashed their lips together to silence her. She was breathless when he distanced himself from her. Her eyes were wild and her hand flew to his cheeks, slapping him. Before leaving him frozen on his spot. They were supposed to be undercover as a married couple at the gala of their target. They had been discussing tactics and strategies when things escalated.
With a deep breath, he tried to calm himself down and headed back towards the ballroom, searching for his supposed wife. They stayed together all night, dancing and acting like a couple. It seemed natural to him to be this way with her. Having her in his arms, and showing her off. Finally a few minutes shy of dawn, they tiptoed towards a huge room where their target hid diamonds. Diamonds they were going to steal after killing him, so the crime would seem like a robbery gone wrong. Just at the last corner, they were almost caught. Five quickly hoisted her up before he pinned her to a wall and he placed his face on her neck. Her skin flashed and her heartbeat was rapid beneath his mouth.
“Play along.” He whispered sweetly to her skin but she was shocked by his actions. So he had no choice. He sucked at her pulse point receiving an immediate reaction. Her legs drew back on his hold, her back arched, her eyes closed and her lips released a quiet breathy moan. At that moment he knew he was already addicted to her. He couldn't hold himself back any longer. He bit and sucked on her neck and her hands tangled into his hair as she tugged at the short strands on the back of his head. She was moaning in his arms and her hips rolled against his. He raised his knee and she started riding his leg shamelessly. He wanted to be inside of her or he was going to burst. He wanted to shut her smart mouth so it would no longer fire comebacks at him. He unbuckled his belt and lowered his pants before pushing her underwear to the side and he waited for a confirmation to continue. She could ask him to kneel, to beg and he would gladly do so. Just to steal one moment with her.
A loud bang echoed through the walls and they snapped out of their daze. But the damage had already been done. Their partnership had been blown to proposition forever. And the rest was history.
Several years later, and many happy years together after being married in secret. It happened, their big bang, the thing that embodied the doom of their relationship. Five had always been a pessimist, even in his early childhood. He was a firm believer in Murphy's law, which stated that when something could go wrong in a situation, always expect it to go wrong. They had traveled in Germany during the Second World War. Five posed as one of the ranking officers in Auschwitz as his wife was expected to do the same. Only, she had been compromised and now she was one of the prisoners. The terrible labor that she endured every day was the thing that would plague him for years to come. After completing their mission and several wounds later they managed to get back to the safety of their home.
“Why didn't you listen to me?” Five snap in frustration and terror. His hands shook as he tried to stitch a big guss on her stomach. She looked paper thin, her bones were visible and her veins along with her arteries stood prominent against her pale skin that lost its color.
“I did. I disagreed with your plan either way. And we had to do something drastic. I took a risk and I lost. It happens.”
“And did it have to happen in one of the most terrifying places that ever existed on this Earth?”
“Snap out of it. You would have done the same. And always where we are atrocious things have happened. So you don't get to lecture me. I am my own person. I made a call and it happened to be wrong. But if I hadn't done that we would have eventually failed this mission. And you don't get to lecture me when you have done nothing but be untruthful to me since the moment this started.”
“Wh- what are you talking about?” Five whispered, his voice quivered with unshown emotions. He could see the inevitable impact between them before his eyes, he had just hoped he could have a few more moments with her. A few more minutes, a few more hours, days, or years. Anything really.
Her eyes were hard and full of hatred. She pulled herself to her feet. The pain that consumed her must have been blinding. The open wounds leaked with blood that stained her skin. She moved towards her coat where she retrieved a dark green notebook and she slammed it against their kitchen table, before placing her hands on her hips and firing a challenging look towards him.
“You know I want to get back to my family, sweetheart.”
“Don't sweetheart me. These equations are only for one person. So is there something you want to tell me, dear husband of mine?”
“Please let me explain…”
“Explain what? That this meant nothing to you? You are an egoistic son of a bitch Five. And I am done with you. And you know why? You made the mistake of placing a date when you started. Our wedding date. You have already shown your true colors. You can leave now. And you can take this, I don't need it any longer. Either way, it was fake and it meant nothing to you.” She said before throwing her wedding ring at him. It thudded against his chest and he caught it mid-air, as he watched her walking away from him and slamming the door of their bedroom in her way. He stood frozen in his place. It was done. The one thing that made him feel alive, the one thing that made him happy left him. He lost it under his own hands. The same night, he left a letter behind him before he traveled back in time, back to his family. To them, he seemed a shy seven years older than when he disappeared. But they didn't know about the two things he carried with him from his last life. Her picture in the breast pocket of his smart jacket and her wedding ring on his collarbones as it hung from a golden chain, both hidden from the world.
“Five. That is just … I don't know what to say.”
“Then don't. It is already hard to think about her.”
“How long has it been since -”
“Six years, eight months and twenty days. My early attempts to get back to you weren't really successful.” He whispered as he toying with her ring. It was gold and smooth to touch, his name had been engraved on the inside. It had been a blast to convince the person who made them that his name was actually Five. And he smiled at the fond memory.
“Will you ever see her again?”
“I don't know. The selfish part of me wishes that, but another part of me knows that it is better this way. Because she is free and safe from me. Klaus, if you don't mind … no more talk please.”
Klaus looked at the pained expression on his brother's face. He had never heard him utter the world “please”, at least not to him. So he simply nodded and stayed with him in silence before their peace was disturbed by their reality.

I head towards my room. The walk there feels like an eternity. When I finally reach the familiar doors, I slip inside. I remove the damned dress haphazardly as I head towards the shower. I let the cold water envelop me, trying to remove the tension from my shoulders since my usual scalding hot shower routine will not calm me.
After a while, I got out and dressed myself in a long T-shirt and tucked myself under the heavy duvet. My eyes flutter close, exhaustion taking over my senses despite my nap on the ship that was rudely interrupted. Yet, my mind is clouded. Padmé's words resurfaced. "You are made for each other." Yeah sure… as much as I want it to be true, there is no way there is no chance for the two of us. And so I will myself to sleep, and I let myself dream of what we could be.
I dream of him.
Dawn finds me still in my bed for the first time in forever. Today is what I call a "slow" day because I don't have to do anything. So I bury myself under the comfort of my pillow and my comforter, and I stay there for at least one more hour, doing absolutely nothing. Yet my body craves movement, and I can't stay still anymore. I throw on my robes and head towards the cafeteria, where chaos erupts.
"But Master-" a young feminine voice calls and is interrupted by a much louder one.
"I am not your Master, girlie. There has to be some kind of mistake." Anakin's voice booms and echoes through the hall. Causing laughter from all the other current residents of the Temple.
"What is happening? " I whisper to Obi-Wan as I enter the room.
"Anakin has a Padawan. A much… stubborn one." He says, chuckling.
A young girl stands across from my friend with arms crossed and a scowl. Anakin wears a similar stance and expression. I calmly get closer to them.
"Ani. Won't you introduce me to your friend?"
He draws an annoyed breath, trying to maintain his composure.
"My name is Ashoka."
"Nice to meet you, Ashoka. Were you shown your room yet, and your new clothes?"
"No, because skyguy over here …"
"Don't call me that." Anakin snaps, and I try to stifle a laugh. "Not you, too."
"She's funny."
"She's overly sarcastic, mean, arrogant and… why are you smiling like that?"
"Oh, how the tables turn."
"What do you - No."
"Oh yes." I say and smirk at him, waiting for his response. It never comes, at least not directly.
"Come on, Snips. Let's have a tour of the Temple." He says with an exaggerated sigh. And I beam at the nickname Snips. He is already invested even if he shows clear dislike to her … for now. I wink at the young Padawan, and she smiles at me as they leave the room.
I find Obi-Wan slacking at the corner table, watching me with a knowing smile. I serve some French toast on a tray, and I join him. A comfortable silence enveloped us as we ate.
"May I ask you something?" He says after a while.
"Of course Master Kenobi."
"Drop the formalities, firecracker. Will you join me in the meditation ring? I am afraid my usual partner is rather occupied. "
"Of course."
And so we leave our trays in the washing compartment, and head towards the meditation ring. Our outer robes are removed as we sit across each other, and we cross our legs, placing our hands above our knees facing upwards and straightening our backs. Our eyes flutter close as we let ourselves delve into the Force; we let our spirits travel miles and miles away. Soon, I feel something resisting my mind's borders, trying to slip inside, and I gently push it back. This goes back and forth for a while, and Obi-Wan is a great opponent in this as it turns out. We are both out of breath and sweat collects above my brows.
"The Force is strong with you. You have great power in you, and you use it wisely. Your constraint and maturity proceeds your age. "
"Thank you, Master."
"Yet you wear your emotions, much like Anakin. Especially with Anakin."
"Well, of course, he is my friend."
"That is not what I mean, and you know it. I have raised you both. I know what I see. Your feelings for each other are obvious, at least to me. The council forbids any kind of attachment." He says calmly. "I think they are wrong. Attachment is what makes us stronger; it is what gives us hope."
"You mean -"
"I do not think anything, kiddo. You are too smart for your own good. I have faith that you will figure it out. And dismiss any thoughts of leaving the Order; he is not complete without you."
I stayed still in my place, baffled at his words, as he kindly smiled at me and leaned down to kiss my forehead.
My thoughts are tangled knots for the rest of the day. Every loose string I find makes the mess even more complicated. Every task I try to do is left unfinished, I give up on the thought of a productive day, leaving reports unread on my desk and I head towards the training room.
I hijacked the sound system of the room and I put my one and most prized possession into the old pick up I once found on a black market. Loud music fills the room and I head towards the center of the arena. I position myself in a fighting stance and I let my body get lost in the music as I repeat fighting routines. Hours could have past or mere minutes before a small body appears next to me trying to copy me. I flinch as she gets close to a striking distance.
"You are awesome. Why can't you be my Master and not Sir Grumpypants?"
"I wouldn't know Ashoka."
"Master speaks very highly of you."
"Ashoka what the hell are you doing?" Anakin yells as he lets the doors slam behind him. I roll my eyes at his dramatic entrance and his antics. "Go back to your room."
"But you said-"
"Now. I won't say this twice." And so Ashoka leaves with a long, suffering sigh. After she is out of the doors I turn towards my friend.
"You didn't have to be so stern with her."
"Don't criticize me." He buries his hand in his hair, tugging at the roots as he whispers. "What am I supposed to do? She is just a child and I have to turn her into a warrior? The war is raging and-"
"Breathe. Just breathe." I say as I encircle him with my arms, hugging him tightly trying to calm his panicked breathing.
"I can't do it. I won't." He mutters over and over as tears slip down his face.
"You can and you will. You have to."
"I know." His lips move against the skin of my neck, forming the words but never saying them out loud. "You will help right? I am so lost."
"Yeah, this is what friends are for."
"Yeah, friends." He repeats sadly.
Friends. The sound of it is bitter and it sits badly at our tongues, since we are both too afraid to face the truth.
