“Do you believe in love at first sight?”

Jake can’t help but raise his head at hearing your question. He blinks twice, and then, he connects his gaze with your curious one.

The boy smiles a little, a humming sound emitting from his throat as he pondered over your question.

To be very honest, Jake Sim has never been a person that really believes in this kind of stuff. Call him skeptical, call him embittered, but love has never been a thing that he could actually experience because he has never been interested in indulging deeper in this field.

At least, that was his mindset… until he crossed paths with you.

The first time he laid eyes on you, he could’ve swore that life stopped being less dull, and that colors were brighter after that. Suddenly, the love songs made sense; he could now sympathize with the yearning the vocalists would sing their lyrics with, he could feel the melodies engraving inside his brain and every feeling he felt about you had an explanation now.

He could never stop thinking about the way your smile could literally outshine the sun and how it would light up his entire day, or how your eyes crinkled in cute crescents whenever you were happy, or how his cheeks hurt from smiling whenever he made you laugh because, dear god, he loved hearing your precious laugh.

He felt his heart beating like crazy because, even in a room full of people, your eyes would always find his, something that looked like endearment etched on those pretty eyes that he loved to stare at. Or when your hand would come in contact with his arm or his hand, you would leave a hot trace behind right where you touched him, making him eager to want you closer to him. It made him ache for your touch, to hold you against him and spent the rest of his life just like that, being at your side.

And god, how bad he wanted to kiss you. He wanted to kiss you until you were left breathless, until the only thing you had in your mind was him and only him, no one else. He wanted to kiss you until he became intoxicated of you and vice versa, and even until then, he would never stop kissing you because he wanted to be the only person you only wanted in your life.

Sigh, he really wanted to call you his, and for him to be called yours (Did you know that he was yours since the very first time you laid your eyes on him?) (There was a voice inside him that told him that, maybe, you knew Jake have been yours since the very beginning and will always be yours until the end of the times)

Jake Sim has never been a man that believes in concepts such as “love at first sight”, but again, you’re now in his life.

And he would never want to have it any other way.

So looking at his right, he feigns contemplating his answer for a little bit more. Then, he bites his lip and looks at you with something hidden behind his beautiful brown orbs.

He shrugs, a sheepish smile decorating his features. “Yeah… I do believe in love at first sight.”
