Yoongi’s glaring. “Stop.”

“I don’t like the peas.”

“So that automatically means I like them?”

“No because you vowed that you would do anything for me and quite frankly eating my peas is a lot more tame than–you know. In sickness and in health, all that.” You flick another one of the mushy boogers into his Alfredo sauce with an ignorance Yoongi doesn’t hide his disdain for.

“Are you drunk?”

Your teeth are probably stained red at this point. You smile like you hope they are. “Perhaps.”

“You had a glass,” Yoongi says with disbelief.

“Well you were in the washroom longer than you thought you were, my genius.”

“Remind me not to shit at the Cheesecake Factory then.”

“Sure. Yoongi, your thighs look really good in your pants. I don’t remember you getting those pants.” You’re not sure when you decided to sit on his side of the booth, but you remember the heat of the candlelight and the shadow of his nose. The gilded angles of your husband that introduced some sort of itch in your belly that made him scoot over for your overbearing ass but he was so handsome it kind of hurt not being pressed up against him the way you are now. Yoongi clears his throat, and puts his palm on your knee.

“You picked them out for me, remember?” He asks carefully. “And you look good too.”

“Really?”

Yoongi rubs your skin with a slow thumb. “Yeah mama.”

You know he feels you shiver. He tastes like berries when you kiss him. “I don’t think I’ve ever gotten this drunk since Soonbok was born.”

“When was she born again?”

“Yoongi!”

“Like three years ago right? And eat your peas, drunkard,” he orders. You just move the peas around with a lazy hand and he sighs. “God, we’ve really been doing this for three years, huh.”

“Doing what?” 

“Child-rearing.”

“You make it sound so bad,” you groan. Yoongi shrugs. He still tickles your knee with his slow attention. “But it’s been fun.”

“You know she’s been asking.”

You squish a pea. “About what?”

“About why the baby seeds you’re eating aren’t growing yet.”

“I don’t like the garden analogy, you should’ve gone with the oven one.” You pat at Yoongi’s crotch, then press a kiss to the bottom of his neck. “Seeds are too… euphemistic.”

“Ha ha.” He humours you with the tilt of his head just so you can suck at the spot you like to make your own. His throat bobs like he wants to make a sound but there’s a couple a divider over. He’s never really been into that anyway.

“Let’s go bake a cake,” you whisper into the curve of his skin. And you know it’s not that sexy and entirely not thought-out but Yoongi laughs like it is.

“I’ll buy one on the way out.”

“That’s not what I meant.”

“I know, moms. You’re not exactly the smartest oven.”

You scoff, “You love me and my saggy oven!”

Yoongi rubs at the pudge of stomach that never went away. (If that tummy stretched to fit a whole baby then who am I to say it’s ugly? he’d said one day when you cried over tight jeans.) He presses a kiss in between your eyebrows. “If I could proclaim to the world about how sexy my wife is with her saggy oven I would do it at the top of this table right now.”

“No you wouldn’t.”

“Yeah I wouldn’t but the thought still counts.” Yoongi holds your chin for your wine-stained mouth. “Are you done? Your neckline is low for no reason and you’ve been tempting me this entire time.”

“I’m done. If you pay I’ll walk out of this place with no panties on.”

His hand shoots up. A waiter comes. “Can I get the bill please?”

He was dangerous, you knew that much. Yet, when he was lying on your hospital gurney, you knew he could not hurt a single fly in this state. He had been shot, again. The second time this month now. He was getting more reckless, more impatient, craving more power. 

A year ago, you would have never thought you would be working for the most dangerous man in the city, but here you were, sterilising your equipment before removing the bullet from his wound. Namjoon hissed at the pain but you just glared at him. He had to start being more careful. 

When you started working for him you thought you only did it for the money, being in debt for so long despite being one of the most promising new doctors at the hospital, you decided to quit your job. His deal was way to good. Pay of your entire debt if you worked for him for four year plus money for rent and food. 

That was all it was supposed to be. A job, taking care of Namjoon and his associates whenever they got hurt. Funny how everytime Namjoon ended up at your hospital you fell for him even more. Your hospital.
