I went deep into the archives to pull out some of my older sculpture work for โEye of the Stormโ. When putting together the show, I thought these would be perfect to highlight my time at Ypsi Alloy Studios and that they were a bridge to my current work. I was really happy to see these little guys when I was pulling them out of storage. I made these back in 2017-2018.
โEye of the Stormโ is now open at Hatch Art in Hamtramck, MI, March 4 - 26.

My first work of 2023. I have been thinking about viewing nature through my window, gazing out onto the small section of earth that is my home. This year has had a really rough start for me, but as winter melts into spring Iโm looking forward to delving into all ideas and artwork that have been incubating and sharing them with you all.
This drawing was made for โEye of the Stormโ curated by me and Paloma Nรบรฑez-Regueiro. The show opens this Saturday at Hatch Art in Hamtramck. โEye of the Stormโ is the fourth Ypsi Alloy Studios show Iโve curated.
Show Dates: March 4th - 26th, Reception: March 4th, 6-9 pm, Artist Talk: March 18th 2pm

Doesn't everyone have a giant box of samples they pilfered from the paint counter?
New personality test just dropped:
You're in a Home Depot, do you:
1. Touch all the carpet samples
2. Touch/read all the paint color samples
3. Squint in the lighting aisle

A progress report on two new drawings, a fire fish and their friend. These two drawings were created for @wowxwow upcoming show โCornucopiaโ opening this Friday.

A peek at a new drawing Iโm working on.

Two illustrations I made for the University of Michigan School of Environment and Sustainability for the Resilience Hubs project in 2020.

Early this year I was commissioned by the School of Environment and Sustainability at University of Michigan to create 3 illustrations for the second Resilience Hubs report, a project building community resilience in the face of climate change. In 2020, I was first commissioned to create two illustrations for the project. I was so grateful to have my work in the first report, and doubly so to have my work enhance the second one.

Arch Colored pencil and acrylic paint. 2020 Meteora Colored pencil and acrylic paint. 2022
These two are commissioned drawings for fellow artist Joanna Manousis. Arch was completed back in December 2020 and Meteora was created this past spring.
