"Write Me A Song" yoongi drabble sounds interesting 👀

okaY sO this is my first ask ever I’m excitedddd buT let’s dive right into it

Y/n is in a music school and trains to become a singer/the equivalent of an idol in this au(??) while yoongi is the owner’s son of meraki (the cafe) and produces songs from time to time [👀]. After a long day, y/n’s school friends take her to the café and there she sees yoongi sitting at a table in the corner looking all focused and mYsterioUs. He sees her too and bam ✨chemistry✨ attraction, romance, LoVEblablabla. From this moment on, y/n often visits the cafe, they befriend each other and then events, connections, music, relationship, musiC- yes you get it

Thank you for this ask 🥺 this suddenly made me want to give another try to this story (and maybe to this whole au in general???)

So my problem with most ‘get to know your character’ questioneers is that they’re full of questions that just aren’t that important (what color eyes do they have) too hard to answer right away (what is their greatest fear) or are just impossible to answer (what is their favorite movie.)  Like no one has one single favorite movie. And even if they do the answer changes.

If I’m doing this exercise, I want 7-10 questions to get the character feeling real in my head. So I thought I’d share the ones that get me (and my students) good results: 

What is the character’s go-to drink order? (this one gets into how do they like to be publicly perceived, because there is always some level of theatricality to ordering drinks at a bar/resturant)

What is their grooming routine? (how do they treat themselves in private)

What was their most expensive purchase/where does their disposable income go? (Gets you thinking about socio-economic class, values, and how they spend their leisure time)

Do they have any scars or tattoos? (good way to get into literal backstory) 

What was the last time they cried, and under what circumstances? (Good way to get some *emotional* backstory in.) 

Are they an oldest, middle, youngest or only child? (This one might be a me thing, because I LOVE writing/reading about family dynamics, but knowing what kinds of things were ‘normal’ for them growing up is important.)

Describe the shoes they’re wearing. (This is a big catch all, gets into money, taste, practicality, level of wear, level of repair, literally what kind of shoes they require to live their life.)

Describe the place where they sleep. (ie what does their safe space look like. How much (or how little) care / decoration / personal touch goes into it.)

What is their favorite holiday? (How do they relate to their culture/outside world. Also fun is least favorite holiday.) 

What objects do they always carry around with them? (What do they need for their normal, day-to-day routine? What does ‘normal’ even look like for them.)

I just did not appear in tumblr after decades to only post about this but okay hear me out. I really want to know why we have the same word "love" for two meanings. Like Platonic love should have a different name and the romantic love should have another name. Using the same word for both of them it's... IT'S JUST CONFUSING (agree with me). Like one day your crush tells u "I love u" and u say omg yes me too and then you start melting your imagination world into reality but then later u realize he/she said it in a platonic manner/friendly manner ( yea heartbreak). This is just one common example but just because this one word can mean this two things it can lead to so many misunderstandings. So so soooo I just thought of this (I didn't just think stupid things instead of sleeping) what if people, instead of saying "I love you" (I'm taking about the romantic one) they said "I'll burn with you". Love is like burning yourself for the other one you know , practically. Loving someone fully is like accepting their flaws and burns, their goods and bad deeds, everything. Maybe to make them smile or laugh even a bit you'd do anything. In the process of loving you would be giving a part of yourself up. Think about it. Just to be with them, the desire, the knowledge of one day you might be their no. 1 favorite, the wanting to see them smile and laugh for you, the craving of their presence in your life, the craving of being an important presence in their life. These things that would be driving you crazy for them, that would be making you want them, wouldn't a burning flame be consuming you? A burning flame of hope and love and probably some disasters too. But then if your love interest says "I'll burn with you" or "I'll burn for you"......... They are willing to be part of this quicksand called love you're in (or like in mundane ordinary words, I love you). And if they say "can I burn for you? " "can I burn with you?" These questions... Think about it, they are asking for your permission to love you as if if they start loving you the flame would totally consume them and maybe they are hinting on wanting you to burn with them. The ask for permission, they are scared that you might refuse to join them in the blazing fire. I just found this interesting, the concept of burning for someone or someone so deep in love with you that they would burn for you.

OKAY I'VE JUST RAMBLED LIKE THAT AND EMBARRASSED TO POST NOW (nevertheless I'm posting) I know I just said things which probably doesn't make any sense. For some reason I've lost the ability to properly convey what I mean. And about Platonic love,,,,,,,, idk what to call this LMAO. If you can think of any tell me.
