Hey besties, gonna say first up that I do not know how accurate this information is, but considering I got it from the mouth of a guy that worked on the last two episodes of Supernatural, Iām going to take this information as true and factual. Okay. I was on a Supernatural filming tour in Vancouver and our guide was a camera operator for the final two episodes and he got to read the original script for the final episode. LET ME TELL YOU, the whole killing off Kansas and Ellenās Roadhouse thing was correct, BUT, the part about Jimmy being there and not Cas??? Yeah no. Dude man said that in the script it was Cas that was there and Dean met him in the Roadhouse and confessed back to him and embraced ānot as a friend but as a lover wouldā. !!! They confirmed that Dean was bisexual because in heaven he realised that he didnāt need to āperformā anymore and could just be his true self. BUT WAIT, THERES MORE. Because of covid Misha wasnāt travelling to Vancouver to film the final episodes. Jensen pushed to wait until they could do it properly but the script was changed to how it is now. So yeah, there you go.
My headcanon is that being healed by grace is painful for everyone except Dean. Not significantly painful, but maybe with a little sting or a bit of a burning sensation. Human bodies arenāt typically fit to carry grace, after all, so itās just a little uncomfortable to be healed by it, even if itās worth it.
But for Dean? No pain at all, not when itās Casās grace. I think the moment Cas tagged his soul when he saved it from hell, Deanās soul latched onto Cas and his grace. So every time Cas heals him, Deanās soul recognizes the grace and welcomes it as familiar, and friendly, and has no problems with it being there.
Which is one of two reasons Cas touches Dean when he heals him but doesnāt touch anyone else. Because Dean can handle it, because it doesnāt hurt Dean, because Deanās body and soul both welcome it instead of fear it. (The other reason, of course, is just so he has an excuse to touch Dean).
I also headcanon that this is only the case for Casās grace because Deanās soul finds comfort in it, and if any other angel were to try and heal him, he would experience the same discomfort as everyone else.
itās funny cause when chris evans was using all the swear words, one audience went ālanguageā the entire theatre laughed š

Kinda hilarious that this was all Chuckās fault
Like, he never intended to keep bringing back the angel with a crack in his chassis, but any time Cas died, Dean would become inconsolable and go entirely off script
So Chuck had no choice but to resurrect the angel in order to get Dean to play his role
Casās love for Dean is what foiled Godās plan, in every way that matters
