When you first invited Jeongin to go to your sister’s wedding with you, he seemed weirdly surprised. You’re my boyfriend, you had said with a confused smile, Why wouldn’t you be my date? Jeongin had given a little shrug, scrunching his nose up like a puppy dog. But after a few minutes, he had accepted the fact that you did actually want him to be your date, and he started the long process of picking out the perfect suit.

“Jeez,” you said breathlessly as you emerged from the bathroom on the day of the wedding to find Jeongin fastening his cufflinks, “I don’t think you’re supposed to look better than the groom, baby boy,” You never got used to the sight of your beautiful boyfriend in any type of formal wear. Or regular wear. Or in no wear at all. He looked perfect all the time, really.

“Ahhhh,” Jeongin stuttered, his face turning pink at your compliment. His adam’s apple bobbed nervously as his eyes skimmed your body in the lavender dress you were wearing. “Neither are you!” he replied. “Not look better than the groom.. I mean… like, better than the bride, because you’re a girl—”

“Baby,” you smoothed your hands across his chest, and he shivered slightly, “I know exactly what you mean. And thank you.”

Jeongin let his head fall onto your shoulder gently, pressing his lips to your skin. You laughed quietly as Jeongin gently guided your hand up into his hair to rub his head gently.

“I’m gonna mess up your hair, baby,” you chuckled, “You spent a long time doing it, didn’t you?”

He gave a little shrug as he continued to thread your fingers through his soft hair. You finally gave up and let Jeongin’s hand fall, massaging his head of your own accord. He sighed contentedly, and you felt his body relaxing against you. His hands came up to rest lightly on your waist, and you smiled, burying your nose in his hair.

“Kiss, please,” Jeongin mumbled, and you laughed as he lifted his head for you to fulfill his request. You pressed your lips against his gently, bringing your hands up to cup his face and lightly trace his cheekbones.

“You look pretty, noona,” Jeongin said, opening his eyes to look at you. You swallowed audibly, quickly becoming lost in his sugar sweet voice and how good he felt in your arms.

“Thank you, baby,” you gave him one more peck, laughing at how Jeongin’s lips chased yours when you pulled away, “We gotta go,” you told him, smoothing his hair back down, “We’re gonna be late.”

“Okay,” he said, slightly disappointed. Jeongin laced his fingers with yours tightly, letting you tug him out the door and to the first wedding you’d ever gone to together.

i never talk about these things but i can’t remain silent.

i know tumblr doesn’t give a SHIT when things happen in countries outside the “most popular ones” (such as the usa & england). it’s true, don’t lie to me. y’all don’t give A FUCK. not every issue and problem in said countries gets the appropriate exposure but in general shit shows up on the news WORLD FREAKING  WIDE. you set up donations, you help out, your spread the word, you say “pray for x”……

people are dying - at home, on the road, trying to run away, in their cars.

yesterday my country had 300 active fires.

people are losing EVERYTHING they own.

i have a friend that is on a train right now passing through places that have been burnt to the ground and she says the smoke is so intense it’s getting inside the train and she can barely breathe.

and yet, even though several people (myself included) have been trying to bring awareness to what has been happening in southern europe… what we get from most of you, those not part of the countries suffering, is silence. we don’t ask for money, we don’t ask for shit other than a reblog to spread awareness… something you can delete in 24/48hrs if you wish. 

i don’t know what to tell you. i’m angry. i’m frustrated. i’m disappointed. i feel like i’m screaming into the void. “a reblog does nothing” - you know that’s a damn lie, you know exposure always helps, you know people start paying attention when posts on social media become popular. my country in particular is a small one, we get ZERO exposure. y’all are only starting to figure out we even fucking exist bc of the shit we’ve been winning lately. 

but hell, if the EU doesn’t give a shit, why should some user on tumblr dot com?

This is fucking important. I am glad someone fucking spoke about this and said what they had to say. The damage is terrible, and all the evergreen, stone, even the ground is black. I was fucking terrified when Croatia was burning. The fire was near a village where I like and I thought it will burn down. I thought the church will burn down. I thought the cemetery where my grandpa is buried will burn. I still remember the smell of smoke, and when I went to check how bad is fire, my clothes and hair and skin all stunk of smoke. It didn’t go away for weeks.

This seemed like the perfect Saturday. Talking a walk through the park with your boyfriend Kihyun. Talking about random stuff and laughing at each other. You passed the playground that was part of the park, watching little kids play while their parents sat on the benches and watched from afar. You and Kihyun had fallen silent, just basking in the gentle light of the sun and listening to the animals and the sound of the breeze through the trees.

You reached over and intertwined your hand with his. He responded to the touch and looked over at you, a grin spreading across his face as he looked at you. You smiled back, cherishing the moment... Yes... This was perfect... Nothing can mess this up... Or so you thought. Kihyun stumbled backwards and fell on his butt, shouting a curse. You saw him cringe in pain and clutch his ankle. It took you a second to realize that his foot had caught in a large hole in the sidewalk, making him trip.

"Are you okay???" You asked, stifling a laugh and crouching down to his level. "Yeah, I-I think so," he said, attempting to stand up, before cringing in pain again. "Did you hurt your foot?" You asked "I'll be fine," he said dismissively, standing up despite the pain he was experiencing. "Are you sure? You could've sprained it," you said, concerned. "I'll be fine," He said, trying to walk forward despite his quite obvious limp, not wanting to put weight on his left foot.

You raised an eyebrow in disbelief. "Kihyun, you're limping, you probably shouldn't be trying to walk." Kihyun sighed "stop worrying, I'm sure it'll be fine," he said. You rolled your eyes, walking up behind him. He yelped when you all of the sudden scooped him up in your arms. "Y-y/n! What are you doing!??" He squeaked, his cheeks turning an endearing shade of pink.

You giggled at his reaction, walking back towards the exit of the park. "Being a good girlfriend," you responded with a grin on your face as you kept walking. "P-put me down," he mumbled, looking around nervously as he tried to get out of your arms but failed. "No, you're not walking with a sprained ankle," you said, in a slightly stern voice. "B-but... Y/n people are staring..." He whispered, hiding his face in your neck. "So? They should be minding their own business. It's their fault for sticking their noses in our relationship."

Kihyun whined slightly, still trying to get you to put him down but with considerably less effort. "I can walk, just, put me down..." He said, still embarrassed and trying to hide his face in your neck or chest. "We're almost to the car anyway, there'd be no point in putting you down now." Kihyun gave up protesting, letting you bring him back to the car. You put him down to open the door, letting him get into the passenger's side on his own.

You drove home and when you got out you ended up picking Kihyun up again and carrying him to the front door. "Oh my god I hate you," Kihyun grumbled as you walked up the steps to your door. You laughed, "no you don't," you responded, kissing the tip of his nose gently.

You got inside, finally putting Kihyun down on the couch and telling him to put his foot up on the coffee table while you went to get an icepack for the swelling. You came back with an ice pack wrapped in a paper towel. Kihyun put it on his foot, cringing at the pain slightly but letting it rest there as he leaned back against the couch.

After a few seconds of silence, he spoke up. "Please don't ever do that in public ever again." You laughed at him, "does that mean I can do it when we're home together?" You asked, and Kihyun's eyes widened as he realized his mistake. "Wait no! That's not what I meant!" He said and you laughed again. "You sure? You don't like it when I pick you up?" That pink colour returned to his cheeks.

"I don't hate it... I-It's just embarrassing..." He mumbled and you giggled, leaning over and connecting your lips with his in a short yet sweet kiss. "Well wether you like it or not, you'd better expect it to happen more often now," you said with a small smirk and Kihyun whined, throwing his arm over his face and hiding his face in his elbow.
