Harmony Eaglewood (one Of My OC's)

Harmony Eaglewood (one of my OC's)

I just realized something about her.

She's in the prime position to be the "pack leader" of the school; she comes from a prestigious family, has great magical ability, and has all the boys falling at her feet. But she's so wrapped up in making her family proud and upholding their legacy that she sort of skips over that High School drama phase.

So when the kids gang up on Sunny and tease her, Harmony is standing off to the side thinking about how she was placed in class Diamond (the best of the best) but is still going to have to deal with her overbearing mom who won't congratulate her for doing what was already expected of her. If anything, Harmony just obtained the bare minimum.

Outsiders with latent trauma create a found family with one another.

Can you introduce your WIP in one sentence?

My authorial intent is to tell a cool and exciting story.

If my cool and exciting story makes you want to abandon your morals and commit evil acts, that's your problem, not mine.

9 Lines, 9 People

Thank you @saintedseraph for tagging me in this game!

Rules: Share 9 Lines, then tag 9 people to do the same

I'll be pulling from the latest chapter of Waking into Divinity. This section isn't grammatically correct in regards to the rest of the chapter, but that's ok in a first draft... I think. Also this is technically 10 lines, but one of those sentences is literally 1 word so...

Their shopping trip had been quite fruitful--literally--as Casrath's new favorite food, watermelon, was on sale.

Rylie had cut it when they had gotten home, showing Casrath how to do so. He had leaned over their shoulder, his long hair brushing against the top of their back, his breaths caressing the top of their head--

Rylie shook their head to dislodge the memory. No. This was not helpful.

Still, Rylie could not quite stop thinking of the glowing smile Casrath had when he had tore into a slice of watermelon. How he had picked up a second slice and held it out to them, urging them to bite into the crunchy red fruit. Juice had streamed down their chin, much to Rylie's embarrassment.

But Casrath merely chuckled before swiping the mess away with the side of his thumb.

Hospitals.

Sunny yanked Harmony’s privacy curtain open. “Is that really necessary?” “Yes. It’s bad enough I got tangled up in your shenanigans, I deserve privacy.” “My shenanigans? You followed me.” “Idiots need constant supervision. There’s no telling what could’ve happened if I left you alone down there.” “Is that your tsundere way of saying you were worried about me?”

Just a snippet in honor of finishing up the first draft of this short story project.
