It’s kind of pathetic, really, the control Seonghwa has over you. Pathetic - for the reason that you’re always the one hovered above him, that Seonghwa is usually caged underneath you. [11:03 AM] - Nine-Tailed Fox!Seonghwa sniffed the fragrant air, following your scent, which led to a cozy cottage at the forest’s edge. 

Nine-Tailed Fox!Seonghwa’s ears perked, listening for the soft sound of your voice. His lips twisted into a knowing smile, approaching the clothesline where you had hung the white sheets to dry outside. 

The mid-morning sun dazzled to the evergreen below. You hummed, the wash of warmth bringing you comfort and reassurance in the new day. 

You had finally lost that pesky Nine-Tailed Fox spirit that claimed you were to serve under him and help him fulfill his divine destiny on Earth. 

“Do you plan on staying out here forever?” Nine-Tailed Fox!Seonghwa’s smooth voice erupted your thoughts. 

You halted, closing your eyes in defeat. Nine-Tailed Fox!Seonghwa had managed to find you after all. You scrunched the wet shirt in your hands, throwing it back into the washing basket. 

Nine-Tailed Fox!Seonghwa curiously peered over your shoulder. You didn’t look as thrilled to see him as he was to see you. 

You spun around, planting your hands on your hips, “Can’t you just leave me alone—”

Nine-Tailed Fox!Seonghwa looked at you innocently, his ears twitching as he listened to you. 

You let out a sigh, choosing not to finish your sentence, “Come on,” You grumbled instead, “I’ll cook you some breakfast.” 

Nine-Tailed Fox!Seonghwa’s eyes lit up. He bounded up the stairs of your cottage, following closely behind you.

"klee, don't go too far!"

you heard an exasperated sigh beside you when klee didn't listen to your warning and kept following the squirrel towards the majestuous tree, her little form disappearing behind the statue of seven. you couldn't help but chuckle at albedo's blunt expression, watching his sister run further and further away from you.

to keep klee from blowing up every fish she encountered, jean had decided that you should be on babysitting duty whenever you didn't have any pressing matters to attend to. kaeya was also assigned to watch over the little spark knight when he had free time so you split the job between both of you - and sometimes lisa when she could.

otherwise, klee was often running around mondstat, meeting with razor, fischl and bennett, adventuring around and - of course - fish blasting.

today however, you had the occasion to get albedo out of his laboratory and away from dragonspine which you decided was the perfect occasion to babysit klee and spend time together.

you didn't let your boyfriend argue much about the decision you took for him when you barged into his office a few hours earlier. you had simply grabbed a few of his art supplies you knew he would need, taken his hand and excused yourself to sucrose who was busy concocting whatever thing they were working on (you didn't really want to know what it was exactly, judging by the strange smell and even weirder color).

so here you were, sitting at the foot of the tree while klee was chasing after squirrels, picking a few flowers whenever she came across them and pouting as she noticed that the small animal had disappeared from sight - only for her smile to come back when she spotted it a few feet afar. meanwhile, albedo was busy sketching the scenery before him, teal eyes switching from his sister hopping around the grass and the statue of the seven back to his drawing.

you didn't say anything, choosing to relish in the peaceful silence and atmosphere, plucking a few flowers to tuck them into albedo's braids and smiling at the soft, pinkish hue coloring his cheeks when you muttered out a quiet pretty under your breath.

"klee wants to do that too!" the little exclaimed right next to your ear and you winced a little, playfully glaring at albedo when he chuckled. "can i try it on your hair, please?" she then asked you in a quieter tone, chin gesturing to the flowers in her hands.

"of course, klee," you smiled at her, untying your hair so she could work with it.

you could see albedo smiling gently at the sight of his sister bouncing in joy in your peripheral vision before he went back to his sketch.

little hands smoothed your hair, small fingers untangling a few strands, careful not to hurt you even if you still felt a soft tug from time to time but you didn't complain, choosing to let her continue.

the process was clumsy, apparently funny to albedo since he chuckled when klee's hands stopped in the middle of their work and you could already see her pouting, frowning and trying to figure out what to do next. sweet as he was, albedo abandonned his artwork on your lap, kneeling beside klee and behind you to help her out.

larger hands joined klee's smaller ones, gently holding a strand of your hair while albedo's soothing voice explained to klee what she was supposed to do. you didn't pay attention to the words, didn't register them, choosing to bask in the warmth the sunrays provided and the soft hums of understandingg the little girl let out while albedo continued his explaining.

soon enough, the braid was done, a few strands sticking out but klee's squeal of joy was evidence enough of her being proud of the hairstyle.

"wait, don't move yet," she said when you tried to turn around, quickly grabbing the flowers she let albedo hold and sticking them into your hair. "done!" she exclaimed - less louder than earlier - and you turned to face albedo.

"so, how do i look, kreideprinz?" you asked, playfully posing.

"pretty," he chuckled in return, fingers pushing a strand of your hair behind your ear. "klee, c'mere, let me put this flower in your hair too," he then said, turning to his sister.

the little girl didn't need to be told twice, quickly running around to face albedo and a large smile tugged at her lips when her brother stuck a flower behind ear, fingers running through a few blonde, wild strands.

"how do i look?" she asked, mimicking your pose and you laughed at that, trapping her between your arms as she got close enough, squishing her lightly against you, eliciting giggles from her.

"the prettiest."
