The Alice Network by Kate Quinn. Highly recommend. Got history, deception, lust, passion, intrigue, forgiveness and hope.

Hmm. I feel like I am now a backdoor barista. Ya think?

RE: LEVI'S PUMPKIN MOCHA BREVE

So I know Rainbow has told us that she’s never actually had Levi’s delicious Pumpkin Mocha Breve—but here’s the thing. I actually work part-time at Starbucks, and I went through at least 3 quarts of half-and-half cream (aka “breve” milk) during my shift last night trying to make the drink.

From what I know and love about Levi, I’ve assumed there’s some sort of special secret ingredient involved—especially considering the fact that he told Cath he’s the only one who can make the drink.

So I’ve about made ten different versions of the drink, playing around with syrup quantities and adding random pumps of different flavours. I even blended in whipped cream at one point.

The drinks weren’t BAD, but they weren’t the kind of drink I’d give to someone I had a huge crush on—if you know what I mean ;)

So are there any other baristas in this club? Any ideas for me to try out? If Rainbow sees this, any hints as to what you think it would taste like?

Thanks team :) Can you tell I’m a bit obsessed with this book?

So excited to read this. Never close a door, be open to ALL possibilities

How a UT-Dallas student became an illustrator for children's book celebrating Muslim women
Aaliya Jaleel was recruited to illustrate Under My Hijab as a freshman at UT-Dallas, and she hopes readers will see themselves or people they know in the book's characters.

Klein, editorial director for Lee & Low books, was in need of an artist for the upcoming children’s book Under My Hijab in the summer of 2017. The story focuses on the different ways women wear the Islamic head covering, so Klein wanted to recruit a Muslim, hijab-wearing woman for the job.

When Klein saw Jaleel’s art on Tumblr, she was drawn to its “bright colors and emotional warmth.”

Representation matters. How lucky are we to have incredible artists on Tumblr like Aaliya Jaleel (@aaliyamj) to contribute something so positive to children’s literature? The answer is very.

I would love to challenge myself and make couture clothes out of paper. Sometimes SOON.
