nikolai does not need to tell the waiter “he asked for no pickles” for sigma because sigma is Perfectly capable of telling the waiter they made a mistake on his own (he’d have been a shoddy manager if he couldn’t even do that). but sigma Also has to ask for no pickles for nikolai, not because nikolai is too shy / unwilling to do so on his own, but because nikolai literally cannot be trusted to interact with other human beings and sigma is tired of being banned from places for life
